I think BMW in a youtube video interview (on the F10 M5) said it's up to Brembo, so I am guessing Brembo still not making multi-piston rears.

but the lighter m3/4 uses 2 piston calipers in the rear, i would think that m5 being heavier would benefit from 2 pistons.
