Close.
You will recognise some features from the concept have translated to production but for more realistic tendencies than just being decorative.
But the concept does feature some elements that will be seen on the production car.

No it's just way less Concept distorted and in my fair play use column.

Now that spy shots of the Toyota prototypes in Japan have been published, I can say with certainty that they are not the cars that were at our facility because there's no way +2 jump seats will fit back there. So what they were and what Tada-San meant with his choice of words during our meeting won't be clear until Frankfurt.
I'm a little confused by this. Are the Toyota prototypes in Japan different from the ones spotted in Europe?

More Z4 shots

Update: September 29, 2017

The Z4 finally reveals its production-bound lights! Both the headlights and tail lights stay reasonably faithful to the lights seen on the Z4 Concept. The tail lights especially are very future looking as a mix of Z4 Concept and i8 tail lights.

Looks good, but I wish this was a hardtop coupe.

Developed alongside the upcoming Toyota Supra, the next-generation BMW Z4 will be lighter than the car it replaces partly due to it ditching the complicated retractable hardtop in favor of a simpler power-operated soft top. For the U.S., powertrain choices will likely include a 2.0-liter turbo-four in the base model and a more powerful 3.0-liter turbo I-6 in a performance-oriented M40i variant. Expect an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF to be available on all models; however, a six-speed manual could only be reserved for the base Z4.

Our spy photographers tell us that when equipped with the 2.0-liter turbo-four, the Z4 will weigh in at around 1,400 kg, or around 3,086 pounds. The new platform is also compatible with hybrid powertrains and can support all-wheel drive. However, don’t expect a full-fledged M model to arrive anytime soon.

Interesting lights. I quite like the wise exhaust pipes. Makes it look pretty aggressive.

It looks like they are keeping the concept headlights.

IMO that is a good thing.

I darkened and cropped this image to emphasise the shape of the top led rings behind the camo. It clearly follows the stacked arrangement of the concept.

The larger bottom ring might actually be the same unit as used on the 8 Series.

The same sentiment applies for the forthcoming Z3 against the replacement for the GT86.

You cannot really see much as they have cleverly and intentionally applied panelled camouflage to the bodywork to disguise every single line and detail. But it is an incredible looking car developed from the design of the Vision ConnectedDrive and 328 Hommage Concept cars. But larger and more stretched.

The Z5 will utilise a Carbon Core which will be highly advanced for its segment.
The Z5 is to spear BMWs revitalised sports car programme to adhere to a unique philosophy similar to BMWi but for the Sports Car and Performance segment specialising in lightweight materials , advanced construction, individual design and dynamics. Engines will start from a unique four cylinder to a potentially powerful Power eDrive model with up to 500 PS and eBoost which was used under the body of the CSL Hommage/R.

After the Roadster is implemented a Coupe will follow. As are potential M Models. But nothing is fully confirmed for those as yet.
if it will come like this and have this stance, I will buy it. Is beautiful.

Thank you for this!

Can you tell what the grill looks like? More traditional or more like the concept?
