Noob here - considering buying 2013 M5 from RS5

Hey guys,

New possible M5 convert over here. I've owned Audis for the past 10 years. A4>S5>RS5...and my RS5 has turned out to be quite a rattle trap, and has pretty much ruined the experience of owning the car for me. I can flip it now and jump in to a lightly used 2013 M5 without any out of pocket expense.

I'm thinking Alpine White with red interior. I would do light mods, exhaust, lowering, wheels.

Any pointers on things to look out for? Must have options? Problems?

RS5 center console isn't big enough neither S6's!
Put The Audi 4.0 Biturbo In RS5 and I will be on my radar again -

RS5 is no slouch -
Close numbers to M5 but it's not about numbers but it is about Welcome To 600 HP Club and Intoxicating Torque - I believe RS5 (That I haven't test driven but read everything about it in great detail not long ago when I was shopping for cars and was 30k cheaper than M5!) will be more of a track car and more nimble too..

But hey it will be nice to actually open your sun roof -
NA sound may sound better (I had that same 4.2 in my 2007 Q7 Launch edition) and it is a monster and a gas monster too -
Tech wise M5 hands down! As RS5 has the old Instrument Cluster and no huge LCD screen like S6 so M5 wins here while lose to S6!
I believe RS5 looks sexier especially with those huge exhauste tips
Rims in M5 are better and a wider tire too and staggered too -
Shift Knob in M5 is much better...
RS5 DCT S Tronic is what you have? M5 is as good ...
Does RS5 have Launch Control? I forgot ?!

If you just can get 2014 you will be then a lot happier as steering wheel in 2014 is better than RS5 but not the 2013! And revised front grill pkis Revised Steering!

I was on the nearly same boat! I went from a B7 RS4 to a White M5 lol! You'll quite enjoy it. The 4.2 was a little peaky for me, M5 feels like being strapped to a bomb that has leather seats.
