Crazy deal

Got a call from CA. 2014 M5 with 3700 miles. Guy traded it in for a M3. BMW approved the car to be leased out using the program. MSRP $129,500. Lease for 24 months = $792 / month. I slept on it for the night, decided to pull the trigger in AM but some lucky bastard snapped it up.

Have you heard of a deal like this where the dealer leases out a slightly used car? I didn't think it was possible. Thought his numbers were off in payment, but he insisted it was right and was willing to deal (the night before).

Interesting. Didn't know this was possible. He said it happens 3-4 times a year and you just have to snap it up really quick. If it happens again before I order mine, I might do it.

It was black on black. I really don't want that color. So I thought I would sleep on it and decide overnight. Too bad. Now I get to help the German economy a bit more

Sapphire black, full merino black, individual piano trim, comp package, drivers assist, exec, carbon ceramic brakes, B&O, rear seat ent, and dealer said that it had a code for seats that he had not seen before. All in 130k. Had some mods as well - didn't tell me specifically what those were

Screaming deal! The guy must have eaten quite a bit of sunk cost on the trade. Personally wouldn't want to go from an M5 to an M3 as I'm currently looking to do the exact opposite. With that said, to each there own

Ah but a lot of people who have the money just want the next new thing. He will probably keep the M3 for a year and switch it for something else.

Haha. Agreed. Wasting money but again it's all in your perspective.

Exactly

There are plenty of people who feel that getting a M car is a waste of money. But I don't

People have to drive regular BMW and then the M of that series back to back to realize the big difference between them!

Yeah!

I used to love my E93 335i back in the day... I thought the E93 M3 was a waste of money, no power, too slow etc etc (My 335i was modded to 450wtq).

But the M3 was a MUCH better car overall. The chassis, V8, steering, engine feel... Everything! it was worth the premium.

Same here... after 2 years driving F13 650i, I switched to F13 M6... different car!

It's especially not a waste of money when you are able to buy one brand new at ED Invoice.
