Thanks for the advice. You enjoy your car. I will do what I think is right. You do what you think is right. BMW was wrong and they need to hear this. Thanks!

I disagree and feel that BMW was NOT in the wrong. The final CARB certification wasn't completed until last week - a car cannot be released without this. So far this has been handled in a timely manner and in the timeframe of what BMWNA originally stated for August deliveries. I cannot understand certain people's continued complaining - trying to make an issue where there really isn't one. A little patience can go a long way.

Just because the car passed and was certified the final signatures for documents etc can take time. The docs could have been sitting on someone's desk pending signature and that person could have been out.

I will enjoy every second, I promise.

It's nothing personal, but at a time when all future m5 owners are in a celebratory mood, you continue to be upset and angry. If I were this upset at a company at how I perceive I was treated, I dont think I'd be able to enjoy their product and hence would probably not buy it. Curious to see what your impressions are if you do take delivery. Please keep us posted.

As a follow-up to cmhsam's commentary, you should probably watch this video:

Just got a call from my dealer. He said the beast is currently on the truck and should be delivered today or tomorrow. My dealership is like 20-30 minutes from the port. Lets hope the truck doesnt have no crazy routes to take before it gets to mine.

Congratulations! Which dealer? I may have to take a long lunch (I work in midtown) and check it out!

Where in NJ are you? Which dealer do you use? Any chance it's Morristown BMW?

I'm in Basking Ridge, and coincidentally I will be in NJ tomorrow. I have a service appointment tomorrow AM at MoTown BMW and then a client meeting in Morristown.

Again, thanks for the advice. I know where to go when I need more advice. Enjoy! I am not sure where everyone is getting the infornation that the M5s are relased. My dealer is stating that the M5s are not released yet.

I cannot believe some of you are taking offense to some us being upset with the way BMW has treated this matter but are ok with BMW. Wow!!!! We know there are matters that are more urgent and deserve to be sad about such famine in Africa. This can be rectified with us being generous and try to make a difference in this world. This however, does not negate matters such as these. Again, thank you for your comments.

I was just on the phone with my CA and I asked him to check on his US delivery M5s. He logged onto his system while I was on the phone with him and found that they have an M5 that shows in the system as being released from the VPC and is in transit to the dealership.

It is an amazing machine. While I was driving people were taking pictures of the car.
