Little round button under left Temp Control knob
Below the driver's side A/C temp setting knob, there is a small round inset button. I don't see it in the owners' manual. What is it? What does it do?

Doesn't depress like a button. Looks like a sensor maybe?

Not a button. I believe it to be the cabin temperature sensor for the climate control.

Mike is correct, spent ages trying to find out about it. Had a f30 loaner which had the same "button" dealer had left handbook in the car so looked it up. It is the cabin heat sensor hand book says do not stick anything on it or cover.

Mike is correct. I was trying to work it out as well. This week I had a F30 loaner with the "button" dealer had left hand book in car so looked it up., its the cabin temperature sensor book says " do not stick anything over it or cover". Another feature confirmed.

Whatever you do, don't press the button if the passenger seat is occupied!
