Apple iOS 8.4 released today. Bluetooth Audio glitch appears to be fixed!

If any of you remember the thread I started about iOS 8.3 causing a glitch with car Bluetooth Audio it now appears it has been fixed with the latest iOS 8.4 for the Apple iPhone. Before heading off to work this morning I downloaded and installed the latest iOS onto my iPhone6 and then took the M5 to work. On the way to work I kept switching between the iPhone6 stored music and all of my music Apps. The glitch seems to be fixed. I didn't get a single lockup between the iDrive and the iPhone. In the 8.4 release notes they mention that they fixed various bugs and I guess the Bluetooth Audio was one of them. I'm happy that Apple finally came out with a fix and that I don't have to wait until iOS 9.0 for it to be fixed. Now I can enjoy all of my music again worry free! Yay!

Thanks for testing and that's great news. I also downloaded iOS 8.4 yday and will be testing it during this morning's drive. 3hr ahead ppl seem to have beaten me to it

Is there any way to have your phone blue toothed and still get audio such as text messages when not listening to Bluetooth source?

Tired of having my phone synced and not hear the alerts.

Did anyone notice they switched default sort order in apple music app from albums to artists in 8.4? I thought there would be some intuitive way from within the app but it's in settings app. After the update, I was baffled to see my albums not appearing in alphabetical order but still searchable. Maybe it just bugged me since I have a lot of music purchased from iTunes sitting locally on my phone.

Yeah it's weird. Even if you are on the Album page, they are listed Alphabetically by Artist not Album name.

It took me a little time to figure out how to change pages with 8.4. It's really not that intuitive.

Actually I never had a bluetooth problem with 8.3 but now with 8.4 I have an issue. When I stream the new apple music every few minutes I either lose my bluetooth connection or it starts playing the first song in my library. Sometime it seems like it does it when i go over a bump. I never had this issue with 8.3 and streaming rdio or beats. Any suggestions?

I haven't tried to use the new Apple music even though they offer the first 3 months free. My suggestion is to reboot your iPhone and then reconnect it to the car and try playing music again.

I just tried to sl the new Sw but I'm using the hosp wifi so guess I got to get in a better location for it to finish.
