Set of very lightly used MSR intakes. Powder coated filter tops in satin black to match the OEM gloss black grills. These were installed and used for less than 2K miles and I had to transfer the lease and new owner did not want them. There is one small (rock?) chip on the drivers side filter shown in picture but not noticeable when installed. Buyer pays shipping and any PP fees. PM with any questions. Best sound/performance mod you can make IMO for the f10 m5...paired with bench tune of course

Thanks
Extremely interested. Please text me 3234967518!

cause nobody wants to spend this kind of money on some shiny silver metal pipes with some filters on the end that barely add power and cost next to nothing to make. The fastest m5s on here don't have intakes. Paying that kind of money to hear some turbos isn't that spectacular.

I've been researching the MSR intakes and would like to know if severe weather has a detrimental effect on them being that the filters are right behind the grill. I live in the Pacific Northwest (Portland OR area) and we get a TON of rain and I'm just curious what effect these getting wet or soaked will have on things. What about going through a car wash? I recently pulled the trigger on exhaust and suspension upgrades. Intakes/and perhaps Dinan Tune is likely next on my radar.

I would go with Eventuri or BMS if you're expecting lots of rain

...and ram air scoops

I disagree - my car was a daily driver with over 40k miles on MSR in all types of weather. Never had an issue and same results from others. George will state the same thing.

On several occasions I've pulled the filters and intakes apart just to check for water and nothing at the turbo inlet and barely any condensation behind the filters.

I have RK Autowerks intakes and the K&N filters do get soaked during rain or car washes. I suppose you can put those mesh socks over them for peace of mind.

That's because you have an oiled filter which is made out of cotton. MSR uses a completely different material and filter to avoid that issue.

MSR does come with socks to help if anyone is concerned but it's never been an issue.
