Press Tune + Downpipes.

those with catless downpipes + tune, do you still see the drivetrain malfunction?

WOT at the top of 4th the car goes into limp mode. It's hitting a torque limit.

I'm sure with the press tune the limits has been raised. Can you confirm no limp mode with press tune.

your talking about the drivetrain malfunction right? I did get it last time i was at MIR but I also have the DCT software from Evolve. Before i put the Catless Dps in i never got a drivetrain malfunction ever.

The best of that day and getting the drivetrain malfunction was a 11.7 i think around 123-124. I only ran twice the whole day because i got scared of breaking something. No 60-130 my buddy is borrowing my vbox still,i will try and get it back when he is back.

here is a run with a 550.

Yeah that's rough having the malfunctions , I'm really glad I ordered the supersprint DP's with catalyzers . Looks like you had a good launch though ! What technique did you use ? Could you post your 60 ft , 1/8 mile speed , etc. have you done any 60-130 runs as well ? I'm debating whether I should touch my M6 CP with any current tune given how strong my car has run . I haven't seen anyone with a tune post better than my 8.09 60-130 on a 0 slope run . And my GPS trap speed on the 1/4 mile , also on 0 slope was 128.3 mph .

For the launch(MDM) i just mash the pedal of the line since the dct software from evolve makes the car hook much better than stock.I like this method alot because when i had my supercharged e90 m3 it got me the WR with no launch control. I know when i did the same technique stock tune and dct tune the car would spin a little but then go.The car basically does a mini launch instead of launching at the high rpm. i have stock 60-130 numbers but none tuned and with catless dps yet. Those are some impressive times i hope to see what i can do after i get a updated tune from evolve soon to raise the tq limit. My best time so far is in my sig and that is without my catless dps. I need to find the slips and i will post the 60ft,1/8miles speed and etc.

my best stock 60-130 are 8.8 and 8.6 with a slight incline. I know a stock car car easily get down to the low 8's if everything is lined up perfectly.

8.6 is a great run , I haven't seen any M5's faster than that. Tom C was in that range too with just intake and catback. I think that's pretty much the limit for a stock M5. Hell I've seen a ton of low 9 runs from earlier cars . I'd be very interested to see what it is doing now too .

You need to get some sticky tires. With drag radials I managed to cut a 1.77 60 foot. And that was just launching off idle with DSC turned off. I think drag radials could hold launch control set at 3000rpm but I didn't try. Next year.

2.03% decline and -200' DA.

This weekend should be nice and cool again (it could be as favorable as -2K' DA). I ran with more than 1/2 tank of gas last time out. I am going to try to be at around a 1/4 tank (figure about 35lbs weight savings). I also have carbon fiber intake with conical filters which should hopefully free up some top end ponies (and maybe shave another 10lbs compared to the factory air boxes). I also lost about 15lbs since last time out...LOL

I doubt it is enough to better a 8.25s time let alone an 8.09s.

Lets stay on topic gentlemen; Again, those with catless downpipes + tune, do you still see the drivetrain malfunction?

After searching threads it seems that everyone who has catless DP's tune or no has the drivetrain malfunction issue . Since no flash tunes exist that have full control of the ECU this is not a surprise to me.

Those items used has nothing to so w DT Mal. I got mine before I even piped my car. Several things can trigger this. But I do understand why you ask.

I have the "press tune" on the M6 and although I dont have DP's I have never seen any issues. The only issue I would expect from DP's is the CEL for emissions.
