I have almost 2.5mm tread left after 11K

It doesn't matter that the car is RWD. It would still have an impact on the handling characteristics in adverse weather.

Michelin all the way. Also of note new Michelin PSS tires in our sizes come with 9/32nd of tread for reference purposes.
