Do you have 10 inch wide front wheels and 11 inch wide rear wheels if you are running 275/35 and 305/30? I'm curious since I want to run that exact setup.

Let me know since I have a few questions.

How do you like your rear tires (size wise) and how is handling/traction?
I just installed the same rear tire yesterday. I expected better handling/traction and I feel it; however I'm not sure if it's because of just wider tire or new tire (or both)!

Michelin PSS 275/35/20 can be installed on 9"-11" rims (width) so basically on both M5 and M6 with 343M (front and rear).
Michelin PSS 305/30/20 can be installed on 10.5-11.5" rims. The rear rims of 343M for M5 are 10" wide and for M6 are 10.5" wide.

Interesting, the BMW M5 Price Guide dated 5/2014 lists these specs for the 343M Wheels: "or 2TY 20"M light alloy Double Spoke wheels style 343M, forged black w/ perf tires + $0(20x9.5, 265/35 R20 front and 20x10.5, 295/30 R20 rear)"

I'm only interested since I'm considering winter tires for these rims, rather than buying a wheel set.

Probably it's changed now! It used to be 2NZ 343M (20x9 f, 20X10 r) for M5

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...43&hg=36&fg=15

and 2TY 343M (20x9.5 f, 20x10.5 r) for M6

Yeah, strange. Here's the document I have for the 2015's. Anyway, I was trying to see what different tires would fit on specific rims, but no luck. I perused Tirerack and it basically says I have no choices for a matched set with these rims. Also getting these sway bars...

I just checked the 2014 Guide and saw they did not offer 2TY for M5
Look at this:

I have aftermarket 9 1/2" front and 10 1/2" rear wheels which handle the tires just fine. If I remember correctly the offsets are 26mm and 28mm, front and rear, and the tires sit nicely in the wheel well.

I like the wider look and for cornering the tire size increase front and rear is a definite improvement over the stock 19" wheels and tires. For acceleration however I can't report any real improvement in the first two gears. The engine easily overwhelms the 305 tire and I'm slipping and sliding.

Thanks a lot for your response. Your car looks perfect for the street. I will go with what Dinan recommends.

Anyone have any other pictures of M5s lowered to the Dinan recommendation? My searches found Steve Dinan's in the press along with one other blue one (Bottch77) on this site. Any others?

Installed. Will take better pictures later.

I specifically asked for a 0.6 inch drop all around but it appears the front is dropped lower...the dealer swears they meticulously measured this. Thoughts? Perhaps the front needs to be raised 0.1 inch.

What is your measurement from center of wheel cap to beginning of fender/wheel well? I will let you know what mine is.

Hard to tell from your pictures and the car being black as to how much a gap there is. I think Dinan is supposed to maintain the factory rake of the car as they lower it. I haven't taken mine in yet for the install. I have the kit in hand and just waiting. How does the car feel after install?

It feels great. I'd describe it as familiar to stock but overall a more solid feeling car...which I prefer. I miss the feel of old BMWs (e-series) and this takes me back to that feel.

My only concern is dialing in the right ride height as I'm relying on the dealer to do it.

From the bottom lip of the wheel to the fender, the tech measured 642mm in the front and 638mm rear. I'd really appreciate knowing what your measurements are along with anyone that has a stock vehicle.
