Love your car! I agree that the FI's make the car more nimble.

New FI Wheels

Does anyone know of a high quality set of locking lug bolts that fit the BBS FI wheels. I tried the OEM BMW locking wheel bolts and the bolt heads were too wide to fit in the recess in the wheel...expensive lovely wheels and don't want them to wander off!

You can use the Tikore titanium lugs. Their locking technology is different than most...

I have a set...was running them with my old wheels and want to use them on the FIs. Really high quality and lighter than stock. Right now I am running the OEM as I was going to contact TiKore to see what they can do about having them finished in a dark color. Just haven't got around to it

Are they lighter than the stock rims? I'm curious the difference in weight between the aftermarket rims and the stock 20s.

LOL...lighter than stock? Oh yeah, by a large margin. Going off of published numbers for the 343 (non-comp pack wheel) converted from kg to lbs:

OEM F: 24.69
OEM R: 25.79

BBS FI F: 19.18
BBS FI R: 20.06

Savings of 5.51 lbs on each front, and 5.73 lbs on each rear.

It makes a big difference in handling. That much unsprung weight off of the car is definitely noticeable. I am pretty sure that the BBS FI are the lightest 20" wheel available for the M5. There are others aftermarket which are probably close (HRE P101), but none have the engineering and manufacturing heritage that these wheels have. They are made in Germany alongside other BBS Motorsport wheels, OEM Porsche 918 wheels, and OEM Bugatti Veyron wheels.

I'd venture to say that these BBS FI might be the lightest 20" wheels made as of now.

Also interested in some quality wheel locks in black.
