The M5 like the RS7 is a race-engineered car made by a Motorsports division of a german car manufacturer.

The S6 is V8 version of the A6. It is a souped up luxury sedan but by no means a motorsport product.

That is all you need to know. To me the S6 is a waste of time, I would look at the M5 or the RS7. And I would choose the M5 because it is a higher quality piece of equipment.

Against an S6, that's not fair for Audi!!
Test should be done against RS6. The S6 is not at their level.

again rs7 is awd, so depends on your preferences

Or get the BM and always have a passenger to fast forward music since that button is on the passenger side. Thinking I rather not have a radio.

You only have that issue cos you're listening to music the old way. With MOG you can fast forward from the steering wheel.

Not sure. May be a digital rights issue. However it's 9.99 a month. Low cost to try.

M5 should be a competitor for rs7 since we can not get rs6 in NA.
However, 550xi is not the competitor for S6. 550xi is a V8 version 5 series, but s6 is a performance upgraded version of A6.
Personally, even M5 has ultimate dynamic handling advantages, etc, but if BMW does not add AWD to m5 soon, lots of potential buyers are going to AMG.
4 of my buds were looking at LCI m5 before, but they all went with CLS AMG and E 63 with AWD features.
