The caddy looks ridiculous. You couldn't turn up to work in that and expect to be taken seriously.

I love the front of CTSv, but hate the side. Rear looks clean without that fugly spoiler. Overall I think it will be a monster.

Great car from Caddy, thanks for coming out with such a beast. Pretty sad to read the comments posted here. A little bit of impartiality would do good to some people.

Also, keep in mind this car will likely be $20k cheaper than the M5.

Congratulations to Caddy on the engine but the car is still too heavy.

I'm expecting the next M5 to be 3800-3900lbs. Maybe it's wishful dreaming but I believe it's possible with the carbon tech coming.

so gm's new philosophy is to just cram the 6.2l from the vette into everything. not really original and people could just spend less on a camaro or vette and have a car just as fast. next they are going to release the SS sedan with the same engine and rwd also with an 8 speed and MRC.

i personally think its ugly, angular, and slapped together with carbon bits to make it look "fast". id prefer a more understated version similar to the first gen cts-v

I'm sure the Caddy performs great. I just can't bring myself to drive a performance version of what my grandmother drives.

So far, say this thing has all options ticked and I wouldn't be surprised its around 85k. The previous model barely hit that much with all options picked. The M5 hits 90k easy without all that. The F8x would be priced similar to this for less power and size for additional comparison. Granted people may not see the cars on same level. People who want the BMW, want a BMW. Frankly though, the costs difference isn't even worth thinking about. Thousands of dollars less for for HP and perhaps more/same features.

Side by side like that the M5 definitely looks cleaner but in person I'm rather muted by it. I like the interior far better though. I can't stand the world of touch based screens/buttons in the CTS-V or any other car that doesn't have knobs. That feel of knowing what your pressing is just too damn important to ignore. Fact that Caddy's CUE system has been out for a while and still haven't included key controls - vol for example, kills it for me. Its definitely the little things that matter.

Performance wise, cool numbers but that much power for any car to RWD only is more marketting than useable/purpose built.

The new CTS V kicks the s*** out of the current M5 yet so many people wany to immediately discredit it's technology because it's american.

I don't care if the Caddy is faster/quicker... I'd still take the M!
The interior of the V makes the M5s look like a Toyota.

Its lighter than the current m5, so you definitely can't say that its too heavy.

Absolutely stunning.

The first picture is incredible.

Much stronger and powerful presence than the current M5, no question about it.

And it should. GM has had 4 plus years of "reverse engineering" the car. I kinda expected it to have a little more since the Hellcats are pushing 707HP. Either way I like the way it looks and look forward to test driving one....

Do they plan to sell it outside of US? I don't think they will deliver in Europe more than 50 cars through its life cycle
A business fast car doesn't look like that. It's main goal is not being super fast on track, but it should express quality and style.
They thought that being faster than M5 is enough, but not in this class! The only thing that must be appreciated is the weight!

I think the caddy looks pretty good without the aero kit. The front looks mean but the side and back could be improved. The lights looks pretty interesting too. This will probably be a great performer.

It's not all about "which is faster" in this class! There is a great Z06 already, this car should be a little more serious not just NFS alike
