Passing the time...

Just curious what other members are doing to pass the time between now and their M5 deliveries? It seems like the days are dragging and its going to be a long summer...

Planning my ED such as which route or alternate route to take, places to visit and things to do, booking hotels, choosing restaurants for lunch, dinner; etc. I am creating a spreadsheet of all these things. That should keep me busy during my off work hours until actual delivery in Munich.

haha, considering when my deposit was paid (almost 2 yrs ago), 82 (almost 81) days now doesn't seem that far away at all. But really, I just started planning my short trip over to Munich so I'm sure that will keep me fairly busy over the next few weeks at least with stops, hotel planning, food places, making reservations, etc. I'm too scared to even think about the long wait from when I drop the Beast off and when I can see it again at the Performance Center. That's going to be a tough 10 weeks!

I am passing my time with full time work and full time masters program. I'll finish my 3rd seminar right before I head to the Welt in Sept. Although I am super busy, I can't help but wonder what its going to be like finally being able to drive it around Europe. Sigh...

Do we have to specify already? I just filled out my PO documentation with my dealer last week, signed and sent all the forms in. He put my pick up date from Welt and drop off in Europe (date and location) and then just pickup stateside at Performance Center. He didn't put a date on there, but said it is typically 10 weeks from drop off in Europe but they would call me to schedule. So my guess is sometime in November?

You cannot specify a PCD date until after the car clears customs in the USA.

15 month old son = Sept 6 will get here in a blink of an eye.

Toss in a company to run, racing a road bike, softball, vacations, wife time, boating and drinking and I don't sleep.
