Week 25 build

I was browsing over the m3/m4 side, and they have a ton of people who have M's ordered, on the boat, waiting for build to start etc..It's pretty exciting to read everyone's status, and see progression. Don't see much action here. I can't be the only one who has one ordered right now, patiently waiting for production to start.

My build, LSB M5, with executive and black wheels.

When I ordered, way back in March, I was something like week 14. Once my individual was approved it got pushed back to week 26, then 23 and currently my order is scheduled for week 22, which if I understand correctly, is next week. It's been pretty crazy trying to keep tabs on my order, between contacting the dealership or Genius.
Looks like I will be a first half of august PCD. Total time about 5 months from order to delivery. (If all goes well)

congrats! what color did you go with?

judging by what a large number of m3/m4 people are going thru, genius doesn't know much. go over and take a read.

absolutely. it's suppose to start june 13th. i'm hoping and wishing it at least gets started a little earlier.

Woke up to this!

Tanzanite Blue with Full Silverstone leather. I ordered the Dark Wood trim (4BN), and on the build it shows Ash Grain Wood. Panicked for a bit, but after some searching, it looks like it is one and the same.

Just over two months from order date to start of production. Called the automated line and estimated completion date is June 1st.

PCD, I should get a tentative date any day now. The wait is brutal, but worth it.

You're up next to start production, hope you move up a week!

I have done the special order thing so many times that I have lost count. Everyone should experience it and it makes the car more special since it is yours from birth. The PCD drive back to South Florida is nice and you can do it in two days and enjoy yourself.

Week 26 here. Tanzanite Blue on Amaro Brown with competition, executive, DAP, B&O, and most importantly...6MT. Will likely be one of the last manual M5s and the main reason I'm ordering this F10.

the m3/m4 guys seem to be having nightmares regarding bmw genius, and finding out what stage their car is really in.

I ordered it on 3/28. Production week was April 18th. I can't remember the exact ship date, but it sat at the port for about a week in Germany. Then it took about 20 days on the boat to get to Charleston.

My PC delivery date was originally June 9th, but they got it earlier and offered me May 31st so I jumped on that.

Congrats! I ordered before you did and my delivery isn't for another 2 months, lol. Hope you post up a write-up and pics of your delivery day.

I got this regarding deliveries at the PC after August 1st:

"Please note: Effective August 1, 2016 BMW Manufacturing will suspend all tours of the manufacturing facility indefinitely due to preparation for future model production."

Nice build. If I were to do it again, Tanzanite would be the way to go.
