DCT shudder comment from technician

I had the car in the shop for DCT fluid and filter change. It shudders a tiny bit when backing up my hill driveway. He didn't want to do it, said it may make it worse. The shop manager was with BMW for 20 years and says BMW states the fluid is "lifetime". Uh, how long it that, BMW?
The tech has been working on Ms for like 30 years.

It’s normal, it does that on purpose on hills to preserve the clutch.

As for fluid and filter change, recommended every 30-50k miles. I do it every 40k miles. BMW dealerships also refuse to do it, “lifetime fluid”

Normal like Raz said. And never follow BMWs recommended maintenance schedule. Its a bunch of planned obsolescence bullshit. 50k is good time for trans.
