I just wanted to respond. I have a manual and I would never go back That being said, the manuals are so rare and no one wants them...you may be able to trade with a dealership or auction house if they have one, although you will give up some of your options perhaps because manuals are less optioned in my experience.

Absolutely love my 6MT. Much more involving drive, especially with short shifter. Fully optioned.

I have driven M5 DCTs at the M5 school and have friends with M5 with DCTs that I get to drive. They also drive mine and they now wished they ordered the manual. Driving a manual is so much satisfying for me. I would never part with mine. I know most who have DCTs love theirs and without a doubt, the DCTs would perform on the track much better, but, I don't intend to track my M5 and things that we did at the M5 school with the M cars, I don't imagine doing them with mine. Anyway, good luck in finding someone who would swap cars with you.

Well after 2 years with my black beauty finally found somebody who wanted to do the swap!
Traded my 2014 BSM DCT for his 2015 Silverstone 6MT. Been driving the manual now for a couple weeks and will post some commentary on my feelings between the two cars soon. For now I'd like to thank fellow forum member jbyeatman for being a good honest guy and making the swap a pleasurable experience thus far, aside from dealing with auto shipping brokers that is. Tried posting some pics but still cannot do so from iPhone. |
