What Boost Should I Run? BMS Stage 1

I just got the tune, Whats the best setting to run daily on 93 octane? If it makes any difference Im also running full straight pipes. And, whats the best setting I should run on a mix of 110 octane mixed with 93?

I'm running 3.5 with full straightpipes and 93 Octane. Performance is great and no problems. BMS is solid.

How did I not know you were running full straightpipe?. Are you running RPi also or custom? Also, how come I've never seen video of your car before. I want to see and hear it! Lol!

Thanks RPI, I knew you'd come through . I bet your car pulls like a freight train on 3.5. And, I thought you knew I was running straight pipes! LOL, Im running supersprint catless DP, resonator delete, and turner exhaust. Also, I strolled upon this video the other day. I wonder who's car this is .



I can assure you it sounds exactly the same LOL. I do need to get some good videos up though. Even this Video does not it justice for how sick it sounds in person.

Oh jeez, I guess I should be more careful on who I let film me and my car. Lol!

Yeah the car pulls like the Space Shuttle pretty much. Haha! That's why I keep LOL'ing when people talk about Stock or modded M4's being able to beat the M5 either stock or modded in a straightline race. Just aint gonna happen.

You know what, I do remember someone running catless downpipes with the Turner exhaust and Resonator Delete, I guess I forgot it was you. But yeah, 3.5psi and I've been running now for a few thousand miles with the tune, no problems. Car runs great and I'm confident that the stock ECU tune can compensate for the richer A/F Ratio no problem. Been running Catless Downpipes now for exactly 1 year and over 20,000 miles, not a single problem. I think I'm the only M5 owner in the world who has run catless that long. Most other people who have run catless for any length of time have probably sold their M5 or M6 by now. Lol!

Yeah I need to get motivated on my next video too. I have all the good high quality sound and video equipment, just haven't been motivated.

I'm currently running 3.5 on days when I'm running against other cars.
Then I switch it back to 2.5 for daily driving
Full catless GTHaus exhaust, AFE intakes
No issues at all and car is driven very hard.
Runs like a champ !!

I like the way mine drives w the bms. I think I'm using 3.0 or 3.5 which ever it called for w 93. Seems like its faster. On Monday I will go up again against my co worker 2014 shelby 500 from a dead stop. the first to get to 155 for money. I better
Not loose. Last time it was pretty much a tie.

Me and my boy is having the same problem. He's got a 14 gt500 and I got a 13 M6 vert. He is out tq me from high runs on low runs I'm taking him by a fender. And just charcoal filters removed

Well if that's the case I should not have a worry. We ran from the redlight once and I won but just barely barely. I did not load up the turbo either as it was a last minute thought. I didn't even have my foot in the gas. But I had beat a 11-12 yr shelby w no problems. This new one I do give respect to as it is faster than I thought. I wouldn't mind owning one or the new Pontiac trans am yr 15 w over 625 hp. Tyler I'll report back as soon as possible.

I'm running 4psi day n night with 98ron n 1bottle of +6ron octane booster for every fill up, last night got a race with another m6 so I pour 2 bottle into a fill up n up boost to 4.5psi. While in 4th gear I got a few cylinder misfire ended with a lot of fault code n check light. But after awhile the car was OK.

Wow, 4-4.5 is really high. Im not sure ill run that high, I wonder how much it can handle on Pure 110 octane.

Ok, just got on the tune, decided to start with 3. Did some runs up to 160 and the car feels solid... Can't really notice much of difference though LOL. But, it definitely feels much much stronger from 40-60 pulls. Hopefully it adapts more, if I get any races this week Ill up it to 3.5 and add some 110 .

If I'm not wrong, race gas u can run +5psi, is in the N54. Forum(from bms Terry). I'm going to try +5psi soon after I finish my tank. I'm using vp100 race gas.

Several engineers including Steve Dinan said the safe limit of the stock rods and pistons was 650whp . I wouldn't use more than the 3.5 setting on the new firmware . 4.5 psi no way in hell especially since someone has had documented detonation with misfire codes running high octane .
