Any one have this issue?

I am having issues with my trunk - when i open it off the FOB or cabin button, the sucker only opens a quarter of the way. hitting the button a second time opens up fully. Anyone else have this issue?

I'll have the dealer address at my next service check in 6K miles. Also have a bunch of rattles coming from the sun roof and driver side A pillar and the car has only 5K miles -

Not sure my 14 didn't do it and my 16 just started doing it. I'm going to ask them at the next service visit

I had the same happen on my 535. In my case, there was a software update that fixed the issue. Maybe the same thing is there for the X5/X6.

At my service visit they said the trunk can be programmed as to how far it opens with the fob. They ask me if I had changed the setting but I had not. At least not knowingly. They reset it and it's working fine now. I still don't know how to change this lol forgot to ask

Sounds to me like it's a coding/programming issue. The opening/closing via the fob/interior button all have parameters inside the vehicle coding. Sounds like one or more values are entered incorrectly.

For example you can code your vehicle so your FOB can also close the trunk/hatch. To do this a couple of coding parameters have to be changed so that the car's ECU/module knows what to do.

ahhhh...you forgot to ask? can you follow up??

I actually started doing a double kick, with the 2nd kick being a half a kick.

Seemed to work for few weeks, until yesterday.

I really despise this setting. I am trying to understand the purpose of this. So that maybe it doesn't hit a wall or something hanging above the trunk? not sure.

we need to resolve this folks lolol

All ok with mine - very surprised to hear about the rattling sunroof.

Have you tried going into vehicle settings as from memory you can change the opening aperture through the idrive and changing the settings could re-boot it (see what I did there).

Also from the idrive, you could check which software update you are on.
