Based on my research, flooring it in a higher gear at lower rpms will wear out your clutch faster and cause slippage.

I always make sure to have it in a lower gear and above 3500rpms when flooring it. I'm not in my car right now, but I think if you are in 4th and going 60mph you should drop to maybe third to get above 3500 rpm and then floor it.

If not you might be wearing out the clutches faster than normal.

Anyone else want to chime in on this?..

I can start pulling in 3rd and once it goes into 4th, it's aobve 4K rpm and this still happens.

We can limit torque more if you like. We already limit it because we've seen so many clutches die. Even Stage I cars.... everyone always looks at numbers and I look at supporting modifications first

If it was slipping badly you would get a drivetrain malfunction or a transmission temperature warning.

What Mike said. When I worked with him, I asked him to limit my torque and I still put down 701lbft. The s63tu is a torque monster..

Super happy with the real world performance yesterday at Shift S3ctor

Ram and I made the trip out there.

I ran 13 runs total

Standing half mile runs. I was consistently within 4mph of 157mph. The hotter it got. The slower the times.

I ran 157mph
Ferrari 488 tuned ran 155mph
Gt3rs 148mph
Tuned aventador 159mph
Viper acr fbo with 200shot 162mph
Ford GT 158mph
Lexus Rcf 133mph
Viper ta 152mph
Hellcat Stage 2 149mph

Car consistently was making runs without any issues. allmotor_2000 even made a joke about if I had done about 20 runs.

But yes, only took two short breaks of about 30 min in between to eat a burrito and hang out with Ram.

Needless to say the motor is a beast and the top end is nuts on it.

I could not make traction pretty much all first three gears, but once I hooked I was pretty much fishing everyone in. The car just pulls like a freight train from 80mph to 160mph non stop.

I was also super happy that I made that many passes without any issues from the tune since it was setup correct.

I raced a stock M5 from a dig and destroyed him by about 4 car lengths. Needless to say the guy in the stock M5 was damn impressed.

Going to No Fly Zone, November 5th with Ram, and Mike from BPM will be on site tuning my car. I want to crack 162mph.

Everyone is welcome to come, will be a fun event. Hope to see you there.

I did get temp warming a couple times. I need new clutches for sure! I am just wondering Eddy's car with more power yet the stock clutch is holding up fine. Makes me wonder if I should have BMW install new clutches or just go with SSP and call it a day.

Not running a meth currently, but I will be getting one soon. I'm doing some research on them. So far I like the BMS kit.

Its integration with JB4 with BCM and the built in failsafes that can be used with the JB4 are nice to have. I don't have a JB4 yet so if I do, it might be after I get clutches, since meth and JB4 will push my power levels even higher.

I don't get it bruh, u lost me there. Why would you get JB4 if U already got a tune? That's like working backwards no? u did a flash tune already what's the point of doing a piggy back on top of it?

So do I need to start looking at posts of people doing flash tune and JB4...are there people that do this?

Maybe you mean why get the BCM. JB4 is needed to control the meth.

Not really working backwards, it's just stacking.

JB4 let's you control the methanol system and BCM allows you to run higher boost levels.

Without map scaling, max boost on a tune is 22.7psi. JB4+BCM will let you go beyond that as long as you have adequate fueling. It's been around for a while...
