Question about a winter wheel/tire setup

Hey all...

Recently moved from a 6 Gran Coupe to an M5. I held onto my old winter setup of OEM style 351m wheels - square 19x8.5 with 33 offsets. From what I'm reading they should fit no issue, but the tires are 245/40. Has anyone run this setup in the winter, as opposed to the OEM-spec 255/40 setup? I did a few searches but coming up dry regarding these specific tire sizes in the snow. Feedback appreciated.

Thanks...Corey

The 351's won't fit actually. Those wheels will not clear the front brakes on the M5. Tried it when I first bought my car, and even tried it with 15mm spacers. Learned my lesson sold that set, and purchased the oem m5 winter setup from a local dealer.

Not a square set up, but these OEM 20's clear M5 brakes and would make a great winter set.

How did they not clear the brakes?

Did some more digging and came across this older post that talks about the lack of options for a 19" setup on the M5 due to the calipers and inner barrel design.

Hey guys quick question. I'm looking for winter rims and wanted to check if a square setup of 19x9 offset 34mm would fit. The garage says yes, but before buying I want to ensure they really fit. Does anybody know?

Thanks!
