NOCO fried the fusebox on my BMW M5 F10
I bought a NOCO Ultra Safe G7200 charger, to keep my car topped up when not in use in the winter months, having used NOCO products for years
I also purchased the ODB charge cable, for a simple hook-up When I plugged it in, the windscreen wipers came on, and one side mirror folded and everything else died - car wouldn't start, car wouldn't lock and windscreen wipers would not turn off. For 3 hours I tried to reset my ECU, then started looking through the fusebox in the dash and boot, and to my alarm, a lot of the 3.5amp and 5amp fuses had been blown, including the ECU fuse. Eventually I replaced all the blown fuses and the car gradually came back to life. If the fuses hadn't done their job I'm sure the damage would have been a lot worse, including possible expensive damage to the ECU Please share your experience of using the OBD cable with a G7200 charger and help me make other BMW owners aware of the potential risk to their cars by marking my reviews on Amazon as 'helpful' Amazon UK https://www.amazon.co.uk/review/R270...p_perm?ie=UTF8 Amazon US https://www.amazon.com/review/R1671S...SIN=B004LWTHP2
