I fully agree the car is detuned - the s63tu has 1000hp capability and we will shortly find out as we are already very close to the 900hp mark
No way the intake doesn't make power even on the Dyno. I've done numerous Dyno runs from stock M5 with oem intake verse MSR intake after two weeks of adaptation and showed gains all through the rpm and peak. Also same M5 showing .5 second Vbox reduction and running against another M5 with jb3 3.5 boost exhaust and upgraded stock intake running the same times at the track with identical 60ft. His M5 showed 630whp on the Dyno while mine showed 580whp proving the intake didn't show its true potential on the Dyno but did at the track. After our race he installed the intake and went back to the track knocking off .5 seconds in the 1/4 and gaining 4-5 mph. He can attest for his own review. As for my fully modded M6 it made even higher gains do to less restrictive setup of Catless DP and MSR muffler delete.

As for running stock intake and MSR intake don't know how your tests were performed and no way the stock intake will make the same power as the MSR intake above 60mph otherwise people wouldn't get misfire codes without adapting properly or even car lagging in the upper gears till fully adapted.

Anyway good luck at the track and with your set up you should be 11.7-11.8 121-122 mph

My M5 with MSR intake only, ran 11.9 119 mph 1.98 - 2.0 60ft

Didn't day it doesn't make power while moving - I personally have not seen it on the dyno.

I hope I am not running only 122mph traps with 725whp/778ft-lb torque to the wheels. Will find out at Famoso Aug 22nd!

If you have that wheel horsepower and those slow trap speeds, your car isn't putting the power down.
Maybe issues with the DCT holding the power? Maybe increase rear tire size with drag radials?
Something is not right...
Famoso in Bakersfield?? Let me know when, I'll bring my 750 down, never been to the track but I'd like to run it and see what it can do. ?

I was taking to bm5bullit about running 121-122 mph traps

You're car on the other hand should be 130-134 mph traps depending on traction sorry for the confusion

It's not running 122... I was just responding to M6beast. I don't know what it runs so we will find out. I have SSP clutches so DCT is fine.

Famoso is Aug 22nd evening/night - Bakersfield. Sign up at Red List Group.
Terry will be there as well with his M3.

I'm running the MSR intake also, make sure you do some strong 3rd and 4th gear pulls so the intake gets fully adapts, once fully adapts you should see gain even on the dyno,I was running 12,s with stock intake at the track, after couple weeks of adaptation the intake I was able to knocked of .5 second on my time, running 11.5 and best 11.4 constantly with stock Dp and 3.5 boost none CP car, good luck and give it some time you will be happy.

Sir with due respect these dyno numbers are getting out of control, yes you have a less restrictive setup than a stock car but you have a turbo charged car that can force a ton of air into the motor, to get more power you need more air, with a stock tune the dme is only "requesting" a certain amount of air, if a stock car is in the 490-520 area i just don't see how a car can pick up 75+whp with just intakes and a dp. Now with a tune and less restrictive air of course the car can command more boost and and get it no problem. At 594whp your car is about 695 at the crank!! You also suggested running a 10.7 with those mods, thats about the fastest these cars have gone period! Does that mean with a tune, exhaust, tires, and meth your car would run 9's? If an intake and dp gave you 75whp then what will 4-5 more psi give you? should be well into the 750whp area. IF you put a tube at the front of your car that led directly into the engine, you would have to be over 150mph before it would even make 1psi, your car got 0psi sitting on a dyno.

I mean no disrespect but i just see so many crazy inflated dyne's of this car and 0 track data to support

my e63 m6 had 508whp and i ran a 11.86 @121 , these cars have way more tq, way better gear box, more hp, and still trap less than that when stock, Yet you see all these stock dyno's of 520-560whp. The above referenced car should trap about 128-130 if it really made all that power, i bet it traps about 123 tops

Another happy MSR customer!

I haven't driven it yet, just turned it on and checked for leaks etc.

Sounds amazing, George was great, had questions during install (1 hr total)
He was there to help.

when this adapts, not sure exactly how long it will take.

I did the 3rd gear pulls last night. Each time got stronger it seemed.

How long did your car take?

I still don't get the swoosh sound at idle when i rev in N in M mode.

Maybe tomrw morning lol!

Can't believe I just read that entire thread.

I am a past ///M5 Owner and E92 ///M3 Owner.

I definitely wanted Georges Charge pipes for my ///M4, and after reading all that, I now want his intake as well.

Put me down for Wrinkle Black intake and charge pipes for the ///M4.

It should compliment the akra perfectly.

Just be patient with it and with time you'll see endless power through the rpm as well as consistency once fully adapted. As for the sound it's a learning curve and something you will experience mostly being from a distance. The farther you are away from the car the more you will here it. Make sure it's set at sport plus when running it. Also easing into the throttle you will here the clean and crisp sucking sound and as you go fill throttle let off then you will here the woosh sound.

Enjoy!
