Yes I have, and I like it. It's the exhaust that should of been on the M5 from factory. The other exhausts are a bit more extreme. However if it's not enough for you.. just pair it with AMS DP's.

I just took a photo the other day wondering what the Ti looked like after a thousand miles.

I have that, but the ones who enjoy it the most are the bystanders due to the M5's ridiculous sound proofing. Whenever i hear the valet drives away my M5, i go "damn, my car sounds good."

Unfortunately, parts for our cars cost far less than reasonable.
Spring manufacturers are probably the only reasonable ones here.

if it would have been on m5 from factory, i would have changed dp's and forgot about it

but paying that much for getting car slightly louder, doesnt seem to be right for me

imo if you change an exhaust, you should feel significant difference, no matter if your car has ghost-quality sound/noise-proof or mercedes e63s noise/sound-proof

otherwise you only let people on the streets enjoy it and who pleases you? valets?

noone says it sounds shit, its just quiet and u need to roll with windows down to hear it, so whats the point of paying for it, if you can hear oem exhaust with windows down as well ?

its great looking, sounding exhaust, but not worth the money imo

Certainly a valid opinion. I for one wanted a slight volume increase in the cabin, not something obnoxious. Also wanted a cat-back engineered and tuned system. Akrapovic delivers on both of those items without much deviation from OEM design. Save RPI, when you consider full exhausts they are all in a similar price range (some more expensive when considering exotic materials providing a reduction in weight).

Akra is without a doubt very expensive at almost 10k. It was hard for me to justify the price. However it's a beautiful piece of hardware and build quality is incredible. So I ended up pulling the trigger on it.

Like @m54ccibo I too wanted an exhaust that was not too loud, but louder than stock. It's exotic sounding, and that's what I was looking for. It's also incredibly light being that it's made of Ti.

My brother has an M5 as well and he went with the Eisenmann Sport. Build quality is not equal to that of Akra, but it is a very well built exhaust and high quality. He paired it with DP's and the end result is something that reminded me of my last V10 M5. Not just sound but you get a lot more engine braking so it behaves more like my old E60 M5.

I like the E-Sport a lot, but I am happy with my Akra. Everyone has their own needs and there are many exhausts that fulfill different needs. Akra, E-Sport, and E-Race.. all are great exhausts.

So with that said, OP I am not sure what your looking for in an exhaust, but if you don't want to pay the $ for an Akra and/or are looking for something loud but not obnoxious, I would recommend the E-Sport section 3 paired with AMS DP's (300 cell cats). You use the stock mid pipes with this setup. It's an expensive setup, but not too pricey.

If your worried about it being too loud you can start with the E-Sport first and then if needed add the DP's to your setup.

OP what are you looking for in an exhaust?

i just want to go full retard as soon as there is tune to get rid of CEL, so i figured there was no better choice than RPI

to each his own, no question about it, if i would wanted something slightly louder but exotic, akra would be N1 choice

Full retard for me is to go dp. I just don't want a cel. After hearing Dave full retardation video it got me hooked. Just haven't pulled the trigger yet. And yes Rpi is the pipe to make it happen. Rpi ftw
