Bmw m5 f10 concerns
Good evening to all of you!
I was trying to register but i just don't get emails for activation so i'm on one of my friends account, i'm new here. I was going through most of the posts here about high mileage bmw m5's (f10) and i found some concerns about rods, injectors (miss firing) and some other stuff that worries me. I come from MB family Owned a CLS63,ML350 sold it a while ago and im looking for a f10 m5. I found one near me, it has 60k miles,no mods, one owner, sold at the auction loaded with everything except Nigh Vision and Rear seat entertainment. Good condition, almost no wear and tear, when i went to see it the dealer stated that the car hasn't been started for about a week which by looking at the car i could tell it was sitting for some time. It started and sounded loud, after around 60 sec car was really quiet, which should be good sign? He is asking 44k The carfax says that the car has been serviced on time, first one at 1200 miles. and so on, all service records are from the same shop. Before the auction it says "Car serviced" and then it was offered for sale. But it doesn't say anything what was changed or inspected. My main concern is; these rods that keep popping up. Let's say i buy the car should i replace them? How much will the cost be? Also, any info on warranties? any suggestions? prices? Do you have any recommendations for me before i make any offers and what do you guys think about price he is asking? Sorry for the long text, and i Thank you for your time! |

I've been at BMW dealers and high end used car dealers , 2013s are as low as $49000 for mid 30k miles. This is around NYC tri state area.
Over 48k and up could be had for under $45,000. Leverage it is out of warranty. I think blown rods were more last generation of v10 engines. Oil and air filter changes, differential oil change, spark plug change, possible battery swap, rotor replacements , pads, some suspension and oil pump recalls...more so with early 2013... |

Also, if the original owner hasn't replaced the fuel pump, and warranty being expired will it still be covered by the BMW? |
