Test drive/1200 mile service

Did the service department do a test drive even though there is a new system to measure the oil level?

They will likely have done a test drive. I took a photo of the mileage when I dropped off so I could validate how far they went. Was sub 2 miles so I was ok with that.

Ok. I still trying to determine if it's needed with the new system. Guess I'll have to do some more reading.

Stash21, do you have the aforementioned feature in your M5?

Yes but the ability to measure oil level isn't related to the test drive. They will test drive after service anyway most likely. Best thing to do is photo the mileage when you drop off and tell the dealer you have done this to avoid any test pilots taking an extended drive.
