T-Mobile SynUp Drive

Got this new device from T-Mobile - SynUp Drive. Nice device, many options including WiFi on board, notifying you on all the problems with your vehicle, recalls etc.

There is one problem for me though. When I lock the car (X5 2014) the alarm goes on. I need to either unplug the device or wait for 5 minutes until car power shuts down. Called customer support and they told me to contact BMW. Will try to contact BMW but I guess I need to return the device. Called the manufacturer and they couldn't help either. Does anyone have it installed on BMW with no issues? Any ideas what causes the alarm goes on?
