Saw the GT badge and had to reply - so when I lived at Armstrong on west campus during freshman year at Tech, there were a ton of birds that would sh** all over my motorcycle. And I couldn't move my bike as it was the only "safe" location for motorcycles. Bunch of freshmen and I tried everything but couldn't get rid of them until one of my geek friends (never a shortage of us at Tech) built a ultrasonic device which drove them nuts at night... no more bird problem!!!
Found this for you... http://www.bird-x.com/peacock-control-pages-293.php Enjoy - GO JACKETS! |

"Recently, the Strawberry Lane home owners' association of 35 homes here voted to secede from the "peacock protection zone" established in the city by two neighborhoods. Now, Strawberry Lane homeowners can call the city to trap and remove birds hanging out in their yards. The birds are sent to sanctuaries or breeders.
"They're charming, but it's gotten out of hand," said Ginny Xepolis on a recent morning outside her cream-colored house. A mother peahen scurried across her driveway with a new batch of chicks. "See?" she said, pointing to a dazzling blue male clambering across her cedar-shingled roof. "They rule the street." Peacocks can fly into trees or onto roofs but they aren't made for long-distance flights. Ms. Xepolis said she spends about $2,000 a year to repair shingles damaged by the birds' talons. Her neighbors complained about large peacock droppings spoiling garden parties and soiling driveways. The Strawberry Lane decision ruffled feathers one street over on Dapplegray Lane—and made the Dapplegray neighborhood the last peacock haven on the peninsula where the birds can't be removed." Air soft pellet gun. It's quiet. |

I don't know how I missed this thread, but pics of peacocks, water hoses & the OP implementing his version of the "Stand Your Ground" law...how is THIS not on the main page?! The diversity on Bimmerpost never ceases to amaze me!

We have to convince the OP to turn that pic into one of those "Successories" posters. Above the pic the headline should be something like "Protection" and below the pic it should read "Shit Just Got Real"

OP, I know where exactly you live (won't give out names). Take a water hose and spray these suckers. Best thing to do without getting into trouble.

Dude they've been talking about your neighborhood on the news. Peacocks are being killed and they can't find the peacock killer......I think I know who it is.

I would let my Jack Russell out on that POC bird, it would be dead or off the yard for good. We had something called a guinea fowl running around in our neighborhood. The noise it made was really bad and I think eventually a dog or a fox ate it. It was around for at least three months though.
The guinea fowl avoided our yard. This dog is a killer, anything in the yard is dead, snake, squirrel, rabbit, bird, whatever, it's prey for this killing machine. |

If your only allowed to spray it with water and you want to play by the rules why not use a pressure washer on it?
