Does a peacock taste like chicken?

Town we're currently living in has wild peacocks running around. They're a huge pain in the ass, loud, make a mess, etc. Apparently they've just entered mating season and there is an overly aggressive peacock camped out in our front yard. I come home for lunch today, am inside eating, look outside and the f-ing thing is attacking my rear bumper. I go out with a golf club and the thing won't back down, starts coming after me!

If this were Alaska (home), there would be one less peacock in this world already. The city protects these things and suggested I spray it with water...

I want to tell myself, "it's just a car" but I'm unbelievably pissed right now. They aren't scratches, they're gouges in the paint.

You may need a new bumper there.

Suggest you kill the peacock. You're allowed to kill humans in self defense. Peacocks are not more deserving of life than humans.

Had a Canadian goose attack my company car once (was only an impala) when it was in my office parking lot. Apparently sometimes the see there reflection in the paint think it's another bird and try to fight it lol.

to the OP:

Sounds like you need to introduce a wolverine to the ecosystem that likes the taste of peacock! Since it is protected by the State of California (http://www.dfg.ca.gov/wildlife/nonga...fully_pro.html) it will trump the protection of the local community.
