Cool F10 M5 Video and Photos - Spied Testing Manual Transmission and Ceramic Brakes ?

Bimmerpost F10 M5 coverage - http://www.bimmerpost.com/m5/f10m5/

Below are a few spied shots and a video of the same F10 M5 spotted in Southern California. The video emphasizes on the manual transmission (jerkiness during acceleration) and ceramic brakes (brake noise/squeal).

A member in my family is a Master Technician for BMW and was mentioning the way the car took off from a stop (jerking with the throttle) and had too large of a pause from shifting gears for a DCT. As for the brakes, ceramic brakes tend to squeak a lot more than standard brakes. Before we took the video, the driver of the M5 was really braking hard at stops and randomly while driving, I am told that really gets the brakes hot and squealing pretty badly. The squeaks from the brakes in the video are 100% not from standard brakes but pure racing carbon ceramic brakes.

Always great to see any visuals on the F10 M5 but the tail lights are still not doing for the M variant. For the base 5er, they work but for some reason they don't work for this car.

In my opinion it looks alright. But that's about it...nothing spectacular.
For a car that will have 550+ hp it doesn't look nearly aggressive enough. Those large edgy side mirrors have to go. The rear fenders could be rolled a bit more. Rear lights could have a bit darker shade. I don' care for the reflectors below the rear lights.

I hope that the final product looks better than this.

Yeah, they need a slight tint. Almost like what Mercedes did for the SL55/65's. They looked HOT.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

Those exaust tips look way too small and i hope that diffuser is agressive cuz the rear seems like its lacking agressiveness as comapred to the front of the car which looks amazing.

Well i think the camo kind of impairs the look of it. If you look at a 550i with the msport package, its looks pretty aggresive...especially alpine white

HELL YEAAA

I see those guys around all the time (haven't seen the M5 yet tho), its fun chasing them cuz they try to lose you. About a year ago or so when the 7 series weren't even out, i saw the 760Li, B7 alpina and saw the 6 series couple of weeks ago along with the X1/X3 caravan.

Thanks for the vids/pics !
