AMS Catted DP - Questions

I'm looking to add some downpipes in my car and I think going with catless DP's is going to be too loud with my Meisterschaft GTC.

Anyone running this setup, AMS catted & GTC? How much more volume am I going to get with the catted versions of the DP's?

I am debating switching over to catless DP's and an Akropovic exhaust.

Also, whats the power increase with the catted versions as opposed to the non?

And finally, has the rattle situation been resolved with the inclusion of new gaskets with the new sets of DP's? I had rattling wastegates in my 335 years ago and while this is unrelated to the wastegates, I would prefer to avoid trying to resolve new low rpm, decel rattle as a result of swapping DP's.

Any insights appreciated!

I have never had anything but great satisfaction from adding AMS catted DP's to my M5. Power is very much noticeable, from throttle tip-in on up, and makes great noises. I wire open the exhaust valves and it sounds even better.

I bought catless AMS to pair with my Akra. The YouTube video between the catted vs. catless sold me. Plus, you get a little more power out of the catless.

Any CEL with the catted AMS pipes. I heard after a certain number of miles most get it.

Catless DPs with a Meisterschaft rear section will be LOUD. We have done that setup on a customers car locally and the sound was but definitely loud. I wish I had some videos for you.

I'm thinking about getting the RPI GTM on my M6, with catted DPS.

Im also on the fence about catted vs catless. Does anyone know the HP gain difference? The cehck engine light issue with the catless sounds like its annoying!

10-15hp at the most. I raced a f10 m5 from a roll with same exact mods except he was catted and my car is catless and I got a initial tq jump, but he stayed with me.

The HP gain is 50hp going from stock to 300 cell AMS catted downpipes. I had a Dyno done before and after.

I want to get the same setup. Does the catless setup throw off any lights?

How do you plan to pass the annual New York State emission testing if you delete the cats? I would have to believe it would be a huge PITA.

Do you have a vid of the sound? Also, do you drive your car every day or just drive 1/4 mi at a time? I'm torn. I'm buying the car for certain reasons, but am reluctantly giving up my coupe. I'd still like to have the sound of a German muscle car, but be able to to drive to church... So to speak.

I don't have a video, but I drive the car pretty often. I have another car for commuting, but I end up driving the m5 because it's so addicting. I have the valve control and if I need it to be quiet I close the valves with a wireless remote.
As long as you stay out of the 1500-1800 rpm you should be drone free.

Exhaustmeister? Such a tough decision since we're so limited by youtube videos and comparing the sound frankly sucks on on all the different exhausts. I think I like the RPi GTM, but just not sure about going with DP's yet.

I have the LXR mid pipe and GTC now. No way I am going with catless while running the Meisterschaft.

I was thinking the sound would be marginally louder with catted AMS DP's.

There's still a cat, its just freer flowing and probably lets through more volume.

Catless DPs will be a huge increase in sound. You hear the turbos spool up a lot more too with them.
