Space Saver kit?
Is there a space saver kit or donut for the M5 in emergencies?

No spare / donut. You get an M-Mobility kit (a compressor with a bottle of tire goo).

Yea - i was talking aftermarket. BMW made a space saver kit for the e46 M3 with a donut, was wondering if they did it for this. Good for long trips and saves the room. The stock 19 inch front seems to big to throw in the trunk.

Have you confirmed that the stock front (20" specifically) will work on the rears as well?

Not sure if they do.
I use one of the front 20's as the spare. Did so a couple weeks ago on the first road trip; it does take up a lot of room, but I was still able to fit two rollerboard suitcases in the trunk. I do the same thing in my M3.

Bokke have you confirmed that the front would work on the rear as well.

Would there be any reason a front 20" would work and not a front 19"?

Obviously, with the front being smaller it fits on the rear and not visa versa.

Thanks Guys. When I get my aftermarket wheels I can do a test of the F OEM 20" on the rear. I think it should work, just want to be sure!

Sorry to revive a old thread but did anyone ever test the front on the rear? I had a blowout this week and had to leave my car with a dealer in LA until a tire could be shipped in. Dealer is 130 miles away from me and now I have to pay to have my car brought down here so I don't have to take the train back up to get it. Uggghhh.

A couple years back we had a member spend money trying to get us a spare tire for our cars. We were all on board with this but the donut rim would not clear the brakes. He made a great effort on this for us but sadly it's a no go

I don't own one but I've come across this before. Before my next major road trip I'll probably order this.
