It's frightening how much Bruno looks like his uncle, especially when sitting in the car. It'll be interesting to see if he can be as exciting in the car, now that he isn't in a grossly uncompetitive one.

There is more footage of that incident. (German TV) Hamilton waited after crossing the finish line for Manaldo, and on the clip showing in this thread you can see he pulsl hard to the right just in front of Manaldo. Manaldo reacted to that... Manaldo is not more wrong here then Hamilton IMO.
There is a reason why Hamilton got a warning for this incident. I am even surprised he got away with it after everything he pulled of this season.

Hamilton and Senna are the main stories for today, a Great effort by both. Hamilton for getting into 2nd with a damaged car. I see no fault of his for the pass as Maldonado left the door wide open and they were all on hot laps. And Senna for getting not only into the top 10 but to 7th in his first race back, in the wet, and at Spa. Looking forward to a great race from him tomorrow.

Absolutely great qualy. (And Vettel a full second faster than Webber)

1. After crossing the line, they were on their in-lap.

However, after the flag had fallen and the drivers were slowing down to make their way back to the pits, Maldonado, who didn't make it through, came sweeping by Hamilton, hitting the side of the Brit's McLaren.
2. Hamilton was running out of race track, look again at your footage and see how much track Maldonado had to his right. Hamilton gave him the room, on their in lap and Maldonado continued to drive him off the track surface into the grass.

Looking at the angle of Maldonado's car, there is absolutely no reason for that on an in-lap. (Don't forget they are on a right hand corner.)

I don't think either of them is innocent but Hamilton had the most cunning in enticing him and making MAL crash into him. no respect for either of them (re: this) from this guy.

What did Hamilton do to entice him in your view?

exactly! HAM waits while driving slow. the pulls aggresively to the right in front of MAL, MAL wants to pass but doesn't count on the fact that HAM goes full throttle again. then they hit. the start of this is for sure HAM enticing MAL.

check the video, HAM pulls to the right twice

Congratulations Sebastian Vettel!!! Great drive today, no problem with tire issues, safety car, and got overtaken by Rosberg on the first lap. 2010 was a great year, 2011 is a even better year!!!

Mark Webber got a second, as I thought he will have his usual bad day with a horrific start.

Button showed again the importance of tire useage, with extra set of option tires, he climbed and overtook so many cars. Great drive with starting just P13.

Hamilton with another bad luck day with contact with Kobayashi. Car was solid and fast, enough to challenge to RBRs, he just need a bit more luck and stay out of trouble.

Its time for Adrian Newey to get wet with the champagne!!!!

Great race!

Highlights:
1) Webbers pass on Alonso @ Eau Rouge = poop shorts
2) Rosberg at the beginning of the race = holy crap! He was FLYING! Great to see the straight-line speed of the Mercedes
3) MSC - awesome way to celebrate his 20th anniversary

My cable and Internet went out for the start and the finish.
I don't have the first 10 laps. Stupid Hurricane!

FFFFFUUUUUUUU!!!!!!

Also my niece just walked in and said "what is this? GoKart racing?"
And my Brother in law came in earlier and asked me if a bunch of NASCAR drivers drov in this because they "do that road course thing" every once in a while.

Ohh NASCAR people....

Also, did anyone else think during Hamiltons crash of the koolaid man when he smashed through that sign?

Ohhhh Yeahhh!!!!!!

Also how many damned people did Kobayashi take out????

+1

Nick never made it to Q3, but at least he didn't have those kind of cock ups on the opening lap.

Sucks for the hurricane and red necks...no offence to your relatives...

I don't think we can blame too much on Kobayashi....he stick with his line throughout the Kemmel Straight and Hamilton moved over when he thought he had cleared pass on him, without knowing the Sauber had caught some speed and slip stream. Hamilton left him no where to go.

Its just racing, you can't really blame either drivers as Hamilton was focusing on his turn and not looking on his left mirror.
