Simple. Better.

The F10 M5 needed its V8 soundtrack unlocked, and a notable kick in horsepower wouldn’t be a bad thing either. The most straightforward way to accomplish this goal was by deploying a 180 Technology®-armed axle back configuration. The result? A system that is both comfortable on the highway at cruising speeds, and aggressive when you’re ready to drop the hammer.

Sound Perfection: AWE Tuning 180 Technology™

Perfect tone comes compliments of AWE Tuning 180 Technology®.

As exhaust gases exit the M5’s S63B44TU V8 engine and flow into an AWE Tuning 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies. More on AWE Tuning 180 Technology® in the tab above.

Tip options

The AWE Tuning BMW F10 M5 Exhaust Suite is available in two tip color choices, our signature Chrome silver, or Diamond Black. All tips for the M5 are 102mm, filling the rear valence for more muscular styling.

We are very happy with the tone and power our Touring Edition system produces. We will only be offering this system at this time.

Nice deep tone, though I didn't hear any cracks / pops?

Also where would you place the exhaust in terms of loudness?

1: F10 M5 Stock Exhaust (Although the crack from the stock exhaust is louder than most other aftermarket exhausts, I think it may be because the stock mufflers are actually smaller than a lot aftermarket ones)
2: RPi GTS Exhaust / Akropovic Exhaust
3: F10 M5 Eisenmann Sport (Mufflers Only)
4: F10 M5 RPi GT Exhaust / F10 M5 Supersprint Exhaust (Mufflers Only)
5: F10 M5 Eisenmann Race Exhaust (Mufflers Only)
6: F10 M5 Meisterschaft GT Exhaust, F10 M5 with Turner Motorsport Axleback Muffler Delete Exhaust
7: F10 M5 RPi GTM Exhaust (The Cracks from the exhaust will actually hurt your eardrums though) / E60 M5 RPi GTS Exhaust
8: E60 M5 RPi GT Exhaust / E60 M5 Eisenmann Race Exhaust / E92 M3 RPi GTM Exhaust.
9: E60 M5 RPi Stage 2 with Full GT Headers and GT Exhaust / Almost any E60 with Headers and Exhaust / Straightpiped Merc C63 / Straightpiped Aston DBS / Straightpiped Lexus ISF / F10 M5 with AMS Catless Downpipes and Full Eisenmann Race Exhaust
9.5: F10 M5 with Catless Downpipes and RPi GTM Exhaust
10: Straightpiped Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera / Straightpiped Porsche Carrera GT / Straightpiped Lambo Aventador

As I haven't heard those systems in person, it's hard for me to judge. Our Touring Edition system is reserved. Not extremely aggressive. It was important for us to create a refined system that produced power and a good note, all without droning.

Not sure who Dave is, but rpim5's post, it's a sticky thread. I just figured this is like the gold standard which everyone accepts, so thought its a good reference point to make.

I didn't mean to take any credit for it, so apologies if anyone was not happy.

We enjoy sharing others' perspectives from their cameras just as much as we do our own, and it's safe to say Diamond Black tips coordinate with Monte Carlo Blue phenomenally!

It's an axel back exhaust. Same in regards to installation but not the same design / product.

Turner is a muffler delete.

AWE is a muffler system
