Congratulations!
I went with the Britax base and infant seat. Real easy to get in and out, light weight!, and easy to connect and disconnect from stroller. Stroller is super light and easy to use. Really good rating too. My kid is now 16mo and we changed over to the Britax click connect. |

That was my next question.....weight is very important and the ease of transfer as we will be using it for air travel as well.

Congrats on your little one! We've had the Chicco Keyfit 30 for our daughter (she's 14 months) and have used the prince lionheart seat protector. Look for adapters; we had one for our Baby jogger and it was great for pulling the seat out of the car and straight into the stroller.
I setup a memory setting on the passenger side for her which put the seat as far back as possible without touching the car seat. Open the front door, hit the memory button and then drop the car seat into the base in the back. Enjoy every minute with your little girl when she gets here; they get big so fast!

Mine are 14 and 16 -- no idea of the current state of baby gear, just stopped in to say congrats!
I must have missed something btw -- last I heard I thought you were selling the M5?

That's an awesome idea with the memory. How do you know which adapters will fit which seats/strollers?

I need to figure out what I'm going to replace the f10 with until the new chassis comes out.

Hey big congrats... your life is going to change and for the better. Our little boy just turned one and so I have just gone through all this (and am continuing to find new and interesting things my son 'needs')
For the newborn setup, we went Uppababy... vista stroller came with a bassinet, and you then I added the mesa infant car seat, and they all easily docked together. This did really well until he was about 20lbs or so. For the bigger car seat, I went with the best, the Clek Foonf... in black cloth it looks almost perfect against nice black car leather. This thing is top of the line on safety but super super heavy. I also have a super lightweight evenflo travel car seat. It fits perfectly behind the uppbaby stroller handles with a bunny through airports, then both get gate checked in their respective bags. uppababy makes one that have full warranty if their stroller gets damaged while inside the travel bag -- which is exactly what happened to us in Sweden when i watched the airline throw mystoller bag off a 15 ft high jet bridge on to the tarmac. They sent new stroller part out asap after I sent them pics. We also have a lightweight foldup stroller also from uppababy, but maclaren makes a nice one too... not sure its the same people as the car though. All of our stuff has travelled about 10,000 miles over the past two months as we have travelled all over the US, to Europe, up to Sweden to get the new Volvo XC-90 (sorry, it beat out the X5 in my family car comparo) and now does great family duty allover Belgium and Europe. When the baby is small, having one seat and moving it between a couple of cars isn't that bad... but when they and the car seats get bigger, you probably just want to have one per car... good luck and have fun! exciting times. Let me know if you have any other products you want recommendations on.
