I just had a little race with this GTR and thought I'd post it, he said he's running about 650hp with full exhaust and dps, I'm completely stock how's is this possible? Btw this GTR was super nice LOUD AS HELL

Don't underestimate the M5!

Is it possible had didn't shift right? Those FBO GTRs are quick against a stock M5.

Stock for stock I would have expected this but stock against FBO I am surprised.

No because I did a couple of runs with him and that's how it was, I was pulling slowly on him on some of them too, 650hp or not I still thought at least FBO would've gotten me

FBO and driver mod should have pulled ahead. Probably needs a good driver or he isn't FBO.

Still a great kill for the books. Love seeing M5 kill GTRs

intresting...

I know some races that stock vs stock M5 vs GTR 550hp was almost equal, just like the one here.

Maybe Your M5 got nice factory bonus
Congratulations.

While he may have "650 hp" (I quote because its probably too optimistic), its probably "peak" hp and his hp and tq curve are not as sweet as the M5- further he has more parasitic loss with the AWD system. Our cars rarely reach the peak rpm range or where the max hp sits but in the usable rpm ranges the S63tu is quite formidable.

+1000
That's why I always insist (and argue) to let people know there is a big difference between WHP and HP and of course hp/tq curve vs "peak".

Stock for stock gtr wins

FBO M5 Against FBO GTR. Gtr wins still

Need turbos to compete with then gtr as they will say lies even so once they change actuators they can boost more 16psi since if actuator is not done limits them to boosting more than 16psi,fbo they say then u race them it demolishes you then you question your thoughts now best is never rwce them till you have turbos. Lol

That gtr prolly has not been tweak yet or on pump gas etc. u can really mess up on auto trans racing not unless its manual.

Turbo M5 vs Fbo Gtr on E85 this is a real Fbo as he got me at 160 by a car

This.

GTR guys lie constantly lmao. Thats one thing I've learned they have lots of guys who quote crank hp, its kinda like your avg. boastful BMW owner lol or when your avg. Jb4/Cobb Stage 1 335i owner starts talking FBO+backend+meth+e85 numbers like thats what they make.

Had a run-in with a modded GTR this weekend on the highway. M5 on 22lbs JB4BCM, and GTR mods unknown (was very loud, probably just a full exhaust and tune) and I walked him by a few cars despite him getting the jump from a 45roll.

I just see GTR guys lie, kinda the way the dinan boys roll up to cars and coffee and quote crank website numbers to impress lol.

For most bolt on GTRs with 93 they're pretty much faster than 90% of cars on the street, but then they bump into any of the m5's around here or a c7z with bolt ons they'll get laid out... Then it ends up on the internet like they're one of the faster GTRs around lol.

Haven't lost to any GTR's with stock internals yet no matter what mods. FBO GTR on E85 probably traps 136-138MPH in the 1/4

The fully built (1000-1200whp) GTRs run about 8-10MPH quicker in the 1/2 mile and they beat me.

The crazy ones with billet blocks etc are on a different planet.

I mean nobodies really making over 650-730ish on stock internals, and then they cap the torque if the tuners good at low low 600s or 500s so the rods don't go..

Any car with more power than that should be good which you guys are all on the higher end of those numbers and those are the highs in my op most people stay under those numbers stock internal wise.

WillAlls billet block is making about 1500whp on baby boost [25psi] that was their recommendation for me to use it for street driving, and have another map on for more power 40,60psi etc.

+1

From a roll do not underestimate power loss through gtr awd system. Rwd makes the f10 a complete beast from 50mph+
