Reviving old thread.

I had a 2014 FBO E85 GTR. They suck from a roll. I honestly think my M5 with exhaust would have given it a good run from a roll.

Great car. Should have never sold it.

In most driving situations the GTR is quicker.

I don't think so. There is a video on GTBOARD shows M6 GC walkout GTR in rolling... I'm sure M5 is not slower than M6 GC since they are almost the same weight and have the same drivetrain...

I think the m5 has more room with their stock turbos then the GTR does at for high elevation. Stock turbo GTR will only hold 10-11#s of boost up top on 100% open duty cycle. The stock turbos are just to small for the thin air high elevations.

I have both cars (FBO E85 GTR + FBO F10 M5) in my garage and can tell you there no way in hell a FBO M5 is going to pass the E85 FBO GTR with just an exhaust the M5 doesn't stand a chance.

never tried rolling boost, or your tune sucked or was too conservative FBO E85 should rape all but the most modded cars lol in its class as its starting to be able to hang with 800hp cars lol

But what do I know I only run 8s and make 1500+

Sounds pretty good, .. is that your car but with different wheels? They are such a great tuneable car but early ones where quite temperamental with gearbox failures.
It's still on my list of cars to own at some point... they still get so much respect over here in the U.K. too

You've got to be kidding, an e85 GTR that traps close to 135mph Vs a car that traps almost 10-15mph less. Not even in the same ballpark....

Thanks

Reading is fundamental. I said a "good run", not a win for the M5. I also said "from a roll"

From a dig, hardly nothing could touch the GTR.

A good run is a stock gtr vs a stock dct m5.

From a roll, a stock/exhaust m5 will get massacred by an E85 GTR.

From my experience, that's what happened and it was like that a couple runs, I'll bump into him again I'm sure I have downpipes and full exhaust this time

Let me guess... John Visconti flex fuel, maybe a Ben Linney or John Visconti tune... With some asnu fuel injectors, stock front mount. lol btw

Reading matters little when the information provided is wildly false... A stock GTR is about 3-4 car lengths behind a:
BurgerMotorSports piggyback
AFE air intake
AFE Carbon Scoops
AMS downpipes catless 3,5'
H&R dampers lowered 25 mm front and 15 mm back
Presilencer deleted by Uppsala Avgasteknik
2 st 3,5' freeflow exhaust with x-pipe delete by Uppsala Avgasteknik

And your assessment was "a good run" for as high as you can take a GTR vs. an exhaust only F10??? Wha? Btw here is FBO car with e85 vs. a bolt on m5..

Great race! but... Ever since I saw your first video post, I was like "maybe he got his car used with a tune" and every video you keep posting confirm my thoughts. Why don't you dyno your car to make sure you're stock?

I'm sure it is because I have a buddy that has an M5 as well and everytime we raced before I had downpipes it was dead even, now I do pull on him a little with the dps, I do want to get a tune eventually or jump into a different car

My Piggy with meth pulled an a alpha tuned GTR. Although, I have no clue what year/tune/mods it had.

It was a random run, the guy was cool and we were just having fun.

The M5's are quick from a roll
