I have attached my only run so far. I mashed the gas and did not use LC. The Temp was 51F on cold tires, CP MDM, sport wheel, sport shocks, d3, sport plus tach, CF delete, 400 cel cats & half tank of gas.
@gmd2003 can you post your numbers here? |

Sure mine are 38 degrees -2000 DA +0.5 slope . 2014 M6 CP stock tune, with SS Catted DP's and Group M intake also mash and go with 3/4 of a tank . But S3 . I also included my best 60-130 from the same day 7.95 sec on a negative 0.5 degree slope , it was faster starting from the 50's than a dig .

8.57s with CF delete, Supersprint race mufflers and K&N drop-in filters on a 2% decline in 48 degree temps. In similar conditions I ran 8.54s with a carbon fiber intake with conical filters instead of the K&N drop ins. |

from Car and Driver "This means that the M5, thus equipped, will now require 4.1 seconds to do the deed. Real-world numbers could be even more favorable; we recorded a 0-to-60 time of just 3.6 seconds in a test of the current-generation M5. "
How did they get 3.6!??? What settings do you guys find are fastest? LC? |

I did some S3's the other day and they did not turn out to well 12s 1/4. I have to work on my shifts i was in MDM with the M screen for shifting and was doing well but might have been a tad late from 4to 5th.

My best 0-60mph time was 3.67s out on a road (not a track and obviously no track prep and no airing down the tires) with MDM S3. And that was with Supersprint race mufflers and K&N drop-in filters. |

Anyone else with an M6 or M5 with DP's have times ? Seems the CP m6 with DP's has a solid 2-3 mph trap delta and half a second 60-130 delta over a similarly modded M5 , but this is a small sample size .

If you're interested in bulk vBox verification, you can send you can use http://www.vboxtools.com. This is a site that you submit your files, and it will analyze them for 17 different types of acceleration tests, and 10 different types of braking tests. You don't need to trim the files down to the runs you want to analyze. The software at the site will find all of the runs in a file. You can even send yourself an email with the results and export to Google Earth.
Here's a random example of a 60-130 submitted today. Here's the same car from the same vBox file with a 1/4 mile run. The site has no affiliation with any other site, and no links to any other site. The links should be safe to pass around without getting anybody in trouble. I should also mention that distance tests like 1/8 mile, and 1/4 mile use NHRA timing rules to calculate times and distances. You will find this will almost perfectly match your time slip at a drag race (within a few 0.01's). Standing mile is calculated using Texas Mile timing rules. Mine has simply demonstrated that my car is slow and I can't drive well compared to the others. Even the 60-130 time which has nothing to do with the driving is slower than the others being reported. I think the difference there is that the other cars have all replaced their downpipes. It should be interesting to see how the Dinan Tune changes things because I am having that done before the downpipes are replaced so I will be able to report exactly how much improvement I get on a stock M5 without CP due to the three Dinan components.
Of course I like the tool, it's great to be able to do the analysis of the runs like this with good data. Who can complain about a car that does 12 flat and 120 trap speed with no mods even with a 2s 60ft time? I would like to see the 60ft times from the other guys, for some reason the iphone app doesn't show them but this website does list them and I think the program will too. I did a couple back to back runs in my test location which is exactly 0% slope , 1700 DA ( 82 degrees 79% humidity , BP 30.1 . Full tank of 93 octane , BMS stage 1 @ 3.5 psi ( new firmware ) . It was a bit damp so I had to do MDM on , manual shifting S3 , sport plus throttle, comfort suspension . MDM cut power a ton in 1/2nd gear as expected thus the slow 60 ft and modest 30-70 time but she picked up a ton on the back end ! Got to get her up to Darlington or Fayetville soon . Data acquired by 20hz Vbox sport .
