Thanks! I'm really liking them. I adjusted the fit on the drivers side and am much happier with the fitment. The woosh turbine jet engine suck sound they make is awesome paired with the Eisenmann race's barking anger in the back. What's funny is that when the asd was still active you could barely hear the intake. It's like the intake sound did not compute in the asd's brain so it made sure I couldn't hear it unless the windows were down.

Power wise I couldn't tell you. It feels more responsive, but I installed it at 13xx miles so I never really got a feel for the beast stock power wise.

Thank you sir! By far the friendliest drug dealer here. Will get my next fix soon. Must sell the Intrax coilovers first.

Thanks! It works really well with the space gray and matches all the gloss black accents. Plus the cans are hidden so it's a win win for me. Can't wait to get a cf diffuser added to finish up the rear end.

Much better, install will be in a few weeks as I travel to San Diego next week for work. If anyone here lives there I'm down to meet up if I get time.

Mod update:

KW Clubsports

So this past week I finally had time to get the car over to my friends shop to get the coilovers on. I wasn't able to stick around though, so I only have a few photos he took for me of the install. What's nice about this kit is it is a complete replacement. Comes with top hats and nuts. There is no need to take apart the oem setup, just swap them out.

Ride wise, these coilovers transformed the car. No other way to put it. It's a complete 180. Whereas the car was boaty and soft stock, it is now solid and firm (that's what she said). It finally feels like a M car to me. Sway is just about gone, steering feel has improved dramatically, and the predictability in the suspension is back. I think after I get the Dinan sways and monoballs installed, it will be perfect. These last two components will give the added stability and feel in the wheel and let me start fine tuning the over/under steer component to my preference.

Height wise we kept it simple. Stayed with the stock rake and went a quarter inch higher than the lowest height as recommended by KW. So rear is at 13.75 and the front appropriately raked to match.

Setting wise I am trying not to get too crazy right now, though I have changed from the default setting in one area. I increased the rebound on the front shock by one click off of default. Remember when it comes to KW's all adjustments are done from a fully closed position, full stiff, and then opened from there. So all of my setting will be the clicks towards soft if that makes sense.

Front:

Low speed compression (bump) - 3
High speed bump - 7
Rebound - 5

Rear:

Low speed bump - 3
High speed bump - 7
Rebound - 9

As you guys can see the stock settings have compression right in the center for both front/rear and low/high. I feel this is a great starting point compression wise as there is no bias one way or the other. Rebound originally called for 6 on the front, which I felt was not stiff enough paired with the default of 9 rear. The car was like a spring board this way, we're talking bounce out of seat action. I immediately increased the rebound a click to 5 and it eliminated the springboard. It's nice how just one click made such an impact on the behavior.

The rear rebound is kind of soft adjustment range wise, but it does a decent enough job of handling the cars movement as it goes to the back. I will probably play with the rear rebound soon, but access is hilarious. You have to remove the rear speakers to get to the adjustment knob. So I rather not play with the rebound too much in the rear. I think I'll end up driving without the speakers installed for awhile.

Comparison wise to a KW V3 will be a little hard for me as I have never experienced the V3's on the f10 platform. I had them on my X5M for 3 years though. Compared to those the club sports feel more solid. They do their job whereas the V3's on the X5M were still soft and compliant. What I do know is that I'm going to have a lot of fun playing around with this kit. I will post up settings as I do.

Pic time.

Awesome build! i've been following your other build journals. i was really impressed with X5M so was looking forward to this.

I was wondering if you would be interested in selling the tips off of your CP exhaust?

Thanks for the compliments! Regarding selling you the stock tips I'm going to have to say no. I learned along time ago to never sell any of the stock parts that get removed. That way if I do sell the car I can easily put it back to as stock as possible with minimal stress.

Oh wow Kimo, only today I found out that you changed your e60 to f10! I had no idea and I guess I’m too specific to E70 so I don’t look much at other sections!
Anyway congrats and I’m not surprised you pretty much done with your mods in about a month time

Love to see your progress on this one, keep it coming!
As I understand you 98% done with selling all the parts from E70 (just brakes and engine cover left)
Can’t wait to see what you going to do with F15!

Thank you sir! She's coming along nicely. The X5M part out has helped get this project off to a great start. Once the brembos from the X5M and the coilovers from the e60 M5 sell, should be able to get some wheels.

Mod update:

Picked up a couple Christmas presents for the beast from IND. RKP front lip and Challenge rear diffuser. Chose the 2x2 weave so I can match the mperformance parts later. I was going to do a diy on them, but the installs were way to easy. It's nice to have oem like cf parts fitment wise. I was done with both in 30 min.

That's it for now. Have a p3cars gauge and ms metering block to put in still and finally ordered some wheels.

Thanks for the suggestion. Not really a fan of spacers. I do have wheels on order though to solve the offset problem.
