The problem with R compound tires is that they need to bring up to temperature before you can fully exercising them? I wish the have RE11 or AD08 in our sizes. I was looking at the Cup 2s, but yeah. Also I think the max width for oem 20 wheels is 295.. in general.
305 if I'm not mistaken fit

First time we went down the block it shredded the tires instantly and he looked at me and said "it didn't do that before". Subsequent runs were tire shredding as well.

Here's a quick run before adaptations took place:

Glad you're enjoying the tune Eddy!

If I pin the throttle immediately With the 295 I spin unless I ease into it gradually.. Even doing 80 the other day I pinned it and the TCS light went off.. Lol.

Watch the video to the post above me that Mike posted.. That's right after the tune happened..

305/30/20 PZeros fit on a stock 343M wheel, I've run around 3 sets. 305s make a marked difference over 295s. Do not worry. You will literally eat tires running a 690/690 tune. Besides it wouldn't be fun to try and get higher mileage on these tires, that means you're not out having fun.
315/30/20 R888s also fit in stock 343M wheel - I'm busy eating through this set and have a second set in my garage.

Here is an older thread. It has photos of stock wheel setups with PZeros and later R888s. Don't worry you will both be though your first set within 4000 miles anyway.. Lol.

Hello Mike,

With your flash, can you do it by ODB and does the dealer will see it at the service?

Once the DMEs are programmed first by us, then it can be flashed over OBD in less than 5 minutes (both ECUs). We mask the tamper detection faults so service will not see anything that points to the vehicle being tuned.

RE11 are one of the BEST tires I've used. If they came in 20s in our sizes I would have immediately changed my pzeros, regardless of miles left.

I'm just starting to learn about tuning. Can you guys help a newbie out on what DME and OBD stand for?

Can a tune be done remotely? I'm in Texas and don't want to have to drive to Cali, but this sounds like exactly what I am looking for. Finally, can this all be undone fairly easily at lease end?

Appreciate the help!

DME = Digital Motor Electronics. It's the control unit/computer which controls engine operation. In this vehicle there are two, one for each set of four cylinders.

OBD = On board diagnostics - referring to the port inside the car that you can plug a cable into for diagnostics and programming.

The first time the car is programmed with the tune, the DMEs must be sent in for programming. Turn around time is same day. After reinstallation, they can be programmed subsequently through the port at any time. Returning it to stock at lease end is no problem and will take five minutes.

If you have any other questions please feel free to let us know.
