Just installed RPi downpipes -- sounds sick
BenzWorks in Huntington Beach did the work for me. Fast and great guys.
http://benz-works.com/ So much more turbo whine now! Exhaust is louder and cracklier too! Here's a very short video I made in my garage.

Yes, stock comp pack exhaust. I had assumed I wouldn't need anything more after the DP's and I was right. Its plenty loud now for day to day driving.

you can get "race" cats or "high flow" cats if you really, really want to have some form of cats on your car.

Congrats!
I can also confirm that stock CP cars do not have a resonator. Miy stick system was chopped in threes for shipping and what looks like a resonator is realy a straight pipe ( no perfs like non cp ). I am sure your car is awesome sounding now! |

Congrats, OP for the catless downpipe.
I'm also considering on getting a catless downpipe for my M5. However, reading around the forums makes me worried little about two things: 1. Check Engine light. What did you do about this ? Just ignore or did something to prevent the light to come on ? 2. F10's ECU. I'm not the expert. But some seems to say that ECU remap *must* be done with cateless downpipe for optimal performance improvement. (Reducing back pressure like that without ECU remap may damage the car?) Can you shed some light on it? Many thanks. |

2. I am SO SICK AND TIRED of hearing about "back pressure" and the armchair mechanics touting that phrase.
