Eurocharged flash tune coming
For those interested I had downpipes installed at Eurocharged yesterday and was told their ECU flash tune is coming in about a month. The price is cheaper than the AMS, FWIW.

Competition is our friend. I'd think all the various shops have paid the same amount to have access to BR Performance's ability to unlock the DME. If I were BR that system wouldn't change until someone else is able to unlock the DME also. Until that happens I'd guess, and it is a guess, that our DME's will go to Belgium and back before they're tuned locally. It would be nice to have Eurocharged or AMS let us know the process they have to follow to achieve the tune.

If you are prepared to take the risk state side shipping them, just send your DMEs directly to BR Performance. Turnaround is around 5 days shipped door to door.

The cost for a stage one tune directly from BR Performance is €1,800 ($2,045), plus shipping of course. A thought I have though, this tune is fairly new and perhaps having your tune sourced from a local (USA) company might make any revisions easier to accomplish at a later date. And the tunes are bound to be slightly different from company to company. Who do you trust? Who has the good history? Who stands behind their work?

The U.S. based tuners are using BR performance for the decryption technology. They have spent many hours on the Fx series developing their technology. I have had the Stage I remap since the beginning of January. I have had no issues and the power gains have been amazing. For me the shipping was not expensive at all and the turnaround time of 5 days was fantastic as I didn't want to be without my car for too long. At the end of the day I agree that you must go with who you trust. I am certain that AMS and Eurocharged will create excellent tunes and it will be exciting to see in the coming months what the capabilities are of each tune. Whatever you do, make sure your BMW dealership is a friend because you don't want your car flagged for an aftermarket tune. The thing I like the most is that if I need a software update for any reason from BMW and the car is flashed back to stock during the update, BR Performance will flash my ECUs back for free.

I was told Eurocharged tune is about a month away. They are having a pre-sale for much less than posted here (you can contact them). Of course, they still need to remove your ECU, bench tune, and replace. Good thing is that, although it takes a few hours, if you need to go back to stock they will remove/bench tune to stock/replace at no extra charge. Just FYI.

How much you guys willing to pay for direct dme flashing undercover can get the same technology as those other shops and they are in New Jersey so it would make sense to get a group of ten or more m5/m6 guys to do it as they have produced great results with stand alone on pro efi . They are a top tuner I'm the USA overall so it's something we should all look into and contact them about
