Pic Request: F10 M5 lowered on 601 oem wheels

Believe it or not but I have searched far and wide and I have yet to find a pic of this combination. If possible I would prefer to see a pic of a competition package M5 with 601 wheels on ACS springs since that is the configuration I am giving serious thought to. Any advice on this setup (i.e. do I need spacers, etc.) is also welcome. I was thinking of going with aftermarket wheels, but since I am leasing and I do not want to bother with the resale I decided against it. Thanks guys.

Here's my '14 comp pack with KW HAS springs and 10mm spacers all around. Sorry not ACS like you asked but I figured you would get an idea with the 601's.

Thank you. It's Imperial blue. I'll try and post some pics soon.

That looks fantastic. Thanks for the pic. That is seriously the first pic of a F10 M5 dropped on the 601s that I have seen lol. Whatever else you can post would be greatly appreciated. Btw, I'm also considering the KW HAS springs. How do you like them? They meeting your expectations? Do you feel any improvements in handling from the comp pack springs? Thanks again for posting this.

Thank you blkthght. I honestly can't tell much of a difference over the comp springs because I only had them on for about a two weeks before I changed them to the KWs and I don't drive it too much. The KWs are great though. I was at Inde motorsports park soon after the install and the car handled great but that track is a bit tight for a car of this size, at least to me. They're excellent to answer your question. I chose them because of the adjustability, construction, quality and price. I'd recommend them. I've been a little busy but will get more pics up asap. I've also got 10mm H&R spacer all around which helps with the gap. Thanks again for the compliment.

Thumbs up Nice pics

JtheW, your car looks super clean bro. Congrats. I have a similar setup so I think I am definitely going to go forward with the suspension mod and keep the 601 wheels and perhaps add some spacers. Thanks for the pics.

Thank you very much. I'd recommend spacers for sure. Me personally, I wouldnt go bigger than 12mm. Like I said I went with 10mm and I think it looks great. Post up pics once you get it all sorted out.

JtheW,

Hey so I finally have my appointment to get the KWHAS installed. There was about a month delay because the shop said the product was on back order from Germany. But it's here now and the end of this month works with my schedule. Anyway, do you happen to recall if your installer used the KW recommended height for the car? If you didn't have to do any subsequent height adjustments then I suspect that they started you out at the manufacturer's recommended height for the vehicle. The reason I ask is because your M5 sits at the perfect height from your pics and I would like that height for my car. I'm also going to install 12mm spacers all around. Thanks again.

Blkthght, I don't know what the manufacturers recommended height is. I had them set it to where the rear was about the same as the stock CP height. I had the fronts set lower than stock CP height so as to not have the reverse rake look. The springs settled just a little bit but nothing drastic and I haven't touched them since.

Ok, thanks. That was helpful. I also like the stock CP height for the rears. The fronts are a different story. I figure with the inclusion of spacers and once given time to settle, the rears will look great and not slammed, which is what I want to avoid.

Very nice and rare color on the M5!

Those 601's fit beautifully with the Imperial Blue color. Love the stance also.
