Question for those who have sakhir orange interior

I am thinking of ordering the sakhir orange leather. For those of you that have lived with it I wonder how you feel about it after using it a while. My primary concern is that because it is a bit louder than other colors it might grow tiresome quickly? Also, wonder if anyone can comment on how it wears over time compared to black. I have had black leather on a 2013 for a little over 8 months and it still looks new.

Always had black leather. That said, I am still over the moon with the SO full. Never tired of it when I get in the car. In fact, I think I like it more now than I did earlier.

Only drawback that I see to date is that jeans can "stain" the leather a little. No biggie it cleans right up with a good leather cleaner (something like Leather Masters).

I completely agree. When I tell people I have SO interior, they always make a face like they don't expect it to look good, then when they see it they are always blown away on how good the contrast looks. It is by far the best interior in a car I've ever owned.

Still very much like it. I personally hate black and think its the worst, most bland and characterless color you can get in a car. Not to mention the heat it attracts.

On your free time feel free to PM me tips on how to pick up chicks seems like I'm one of the few who can't do it in a car like this, women just don't get this car, it's men who look at M5 while women seem to be attracted to Hyundai SantaFes more than our supersedan.

OP Have had Sakhir Orange for almost 2 years and love it, condition is the same as the day I picked it up and looks very beautiful and colorful, but never tires my eyes.

The color may look beautiful to some but personally, I think it is tacky. The comment that girls dig the color, well, girls do dig colors such as pink, rose, lavander, fuchsia, etc. People here have not been so forthcoming as to their true feelings about the color for fear of offending, well, let me give you my opinion and the overwhelming opinion of my male friends -- my female and gay friends do love the color -- If you do not mind to occassionally be mistaken to belong to the third gender (no offense to them) then by all means get that color but make sure that you personally see it and decide.

Someone's got some extreme dislike towards that color! Personally, I think its the new "in thing" now as more and more manufacturers are opting with red in their interior line up. Saw the new Acura NSX at the autoshow and same sort of red interior. With black all the details and curves get washed out and so with the SO interior, you see more of the patterns and curves.. just different. Your money, buy what you like - end of story.

I love Sakhir Orange, it's the nicest interior I've been in to date. It looks and feels very special, almost exotic. Highly recommend.

My last BMW had a fox red interior with aluminium trim. When I first got it, I told people it was porn red, and htat it wasn't my first choice, but I spend most of my time looking out of the vehicle, not looking in. The thing is, it really grew on me. It took about 6 months before I realised that a black coupe with red leather and aluminium trim looks really nice. If I went with a white M5, I'd had gone SO interior.

I'm not convinced that citrin black would look good with a red/orange interior.

Hard for me to tell from pics. Seems at times to have a bronze hue, in other shots more yellow. Other option is black saphire with so but Citrin seems like it might be a little more interesting.

I think it looks cool, but it's just too loud for me. I thought if I got it, that it would hurt my eyes every time I got in the car because it's so bright. I personally think it suit the M6 or a something like Lamborghini better, but I will admit that every time I see an M5 with it, I do enjoy looking at it, but I know I couldn't live with it every day.

SO is da shit. i was also worried about it being too much. but it's actually the best looking thing about the car IMO. it sets it apart from other 5 series. chicks dig it. my kid loves it. it says, "i mean bid-ness" in an otherwise stealthy big car.

Black is nice- have black in the cayenne and it's just black everywhere. black on black on black is classic, but nothing new.

I like the SO in the M5- it goes very well with the black molding and the aluminum goes well with the black and provides a good contrast. its always a topic of conversation when someone new sits in the car and agree with nugent that it looks really sharp. picture the sexy librarian!

I also had Fox Red on my M3 and liked it so much I ordered SO on my M5. Very happy with it. I personally think it complements every exterior color!
