Can't wait to hear how this will sound. Post up some video clips as well once you get everything installed.

I got the low profile oval kit. It's the dual system which includes the "turn-downs" and the wireless remotes. It's being installed tomorrow morning, I'm really looking forward to it because I just had the Active Sound coded out of the car and now it's quieter than our 328i.

Hey guys I just got my car back and they installed the valves today. I'll post a couple of pictures and possibly a video soon.
I briefly drove it, and I'd say it's a pretty significant sound difference. Mine were placed right before the mufflers, not before the resonators. It sounds just the same as stock with the valves closed, but after a few seconds when they've been opened all the way, the sound gets much louder but stays the same tone. It's a really nice sound difference and there's no drone in the cabin when open or closed. |

I need to get under the car and figure out if they can be installed somewhere closer to the motor.

When they're closed there's no sound difference at all. No ticking noise or anything.
The shop I went to said there was no space to install and wire it anywhere other than behind where the mufflers are. They said before the resonator wasn't possible because fitment would be tight and the system would be too low to the ground. |
