Coding parking sensors

I've been using the Bimmercode app and was wondering if there was an option to code that the front parking sensors turn on automatically when you get too close to an object. This happens automatically in our Volvo XC90. It's nice little warning.

Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks

Ditto - my car's front sensors usually only come on when I re-start the car.

I'm confused. You guys are asking about whether the PDC can be set to come on automatically based on distance to some obstacle?

Yes, exactly and obviously just the front ones. Our XC90's front PDC sensors come on automatically when you're in "Drive" and come too close to something on the front sensors.

I've tried searching through the Bimmercode app and the reference PDF files pinned in this subforum but haven't had any luck. My guess is not possible.

I've wondered this as well.

Most cars have a minimum speed threshold and once that is met, the PDC will automatically activate.

Last that I remember, it's not possible on the F10's. At least not via coding alone. There's some hardware differences that would need to be accommodated for.

Tried this over the weekend, and found posts on the web.

Auto PDC is available if you have Parking Maneuver Assistant (PMA), as it requires that module. It can be coded on any car, but all that does is add a non-functional "Parking" submenu and checkbox to the Settings menu.

Too bad, this seems like this should have been included on the basic PDC.
