Do you have a clear bra? Does it cover the entire hood or do you deal with a "sight line"? Any other panels covered? In my mind this is just an extension of that.

i have been to many top wrappers, but its their business and they all have 100's of cars to wrap, so they are not going to spend whole week doing 1 car, which comes to conclusion that noone is going to do it better than yourself and pay attention to every single corner, dot, bubble etc

it takes us 30-40 mins just to prepare each panel before applying material

they can finish 1 car in a day

wth full body wrap with oracal 970 here cost only 600 usd.

I don't even care about a clear bra, I'll have the car for 2-3 years at the most and if there's a few chips so be it. Not gonna spend money on a clear bra. Chips are chips the universe is imperfect and if it were not we wouldn't even be here!

Certainly a valid point of view - and probably more healthy than mine. But I come from the camp that if you buy something nice, you take the pains to make sure it stays that way. I have had my 2007 E60 7 years now and she looks 98% as nice as she did they day she arrived. I get great personal pleasure in keeping her clean, polished and as ding and chip free as possible.

Ha funny my girlfriend backed into my 11 E90 comp M3 and smashed the whole rear quarter panel last week with my SUV. I was pissed, but at the end of the day I just figured its out of my control so why get mad, frustrated and stressed? Anyway IDK If she backs into my new frozen grey M5 I order there might be a divorce in the near future! LOL

Don't get wrong I keep my stuff nice but you can't control everything that happens to the car.

Flat bra wrap much different than a flat vinyl wrap. The bra always looks great, the vinyl has a tendency to warp and look spotty, but you can make the flat vinyl come out great if you know how to work the material nicely.

The reason frozen paintworks look much better than average wraps is because the paintwork is metallic. For example, I would never own a matte black M5. But a metallic matte black (frozen black) is a different story.

There is a very popular wrap installer in CA. You could call them for help picking out the right material.
Who's the popular installer in CA??

Road Racin - I had my car wrapped with a matte metallic wrap at a place in The Valley. PM me if you're interested and I can refer you. I also know of a really solid place in Irvine. Not sure if either are the one avlnch is referring to.

I used detailers domain in jersey right off the gwb. The most thorough and professional shop I've worked with. They are pretty big with the porsche crowd in the tristate. Only had the f10 done there with full detail and opticoat too. Will have all my cars there from now on.

A quality matte clear wrap of a while car should cost $5-8k.

If they are doing it for a lot less than that it won't look great because they will have to take lots of shortcuts to get it done at a lower price. It's not a one day job.

My clear bra on my Monte Carlo Blue M5 was a one day job. The guy was working on it for about 9 hours and it is immaculate.

If I'm not mistaken, the Manhart MH5S promo car has a "frozen" wrap:
