Who do you use for Insurance?

I just got a quote from Geico for only $98 a month....

$300k/$300k with $500 deductible.

I did a quote for them this afternoon. $148 a month full coverage with a clean driving recored. My current company USAA, quoted me $356 I need to see why USAA is so high. I've been with them forever and have never had a claim...

Had USAA for Auto but found that AMICA (also my home insurance) was cheaper. I was very surprised. Made one claim with AMICA and it was the best service i have had to date. They called every few days and the check arrived quick. They even called to tell me what the story was on the other car (i think they do that to make you feel bad.... and should not be so surprised when the rate goes up =(. they tell you how much it cost them to fix it too).

Called today to see what AMICA would charge $108 w/500 deductible. (i did not ask because i have the same on all my cars but i think its 250/500. I know i have PIP as well) $98 sounds like a good deal.

Cheap! Remember that these numbers are all relative to your location, multi-policy discounts, driving history, etc. I think SoCal drivers pay a little more for insurance even with my clean DMV record.

Yes - for sure, lots of variance based on other factors:

Multi-car Discount (QX56 on same account)
Homeowner's insurance on same account
New Car discount
Paid in full Discount

No tickets, no accidents at fault or involving injuries for >7 years.
Super high credit rating - but probably par for the course for M5 owners.

OP beware of GEICO!! Geico and a lot of those cut rate insurance carries do not repair your car with NEW OEM parts. They instead will replace the parts with a third party part or a used oem part both of which can void your BMW warranty. Geico will give you a lifetime warranty on the parts they supply however it wont be a BMW warranty. Also most dealerships will not install non BMW parts.

I know this bc I had a run in with Geico on one of my cars. I have been with GEICO for a long long time and they would not budge. I ended up paying a ton out of pocket to get that car back to OEM specs.

I went with Farmers and they cover OEM new parts and could not be happier. Its also nice to have a agent so you can just call them personally.
