After analyzing your graphs carefully, I have come to a personal conclusion, and this is just my own opinion, that a real reflash of the ECU's is only a little bit better than running the simple BMS piggyback tune. Seems that in your case, there is about a 40whp gain and 40wtq gain over the BMS as far as performance goes. This should translate nicely when doing side by side races, but for someone that lives in say New York City, Boston, or London where good roads are hard to get to, an increase of 40whp and 40wtq is almost pointless. It's just too difficult to find a nice place to use almost 750 crank horsepower in congested city traffic. But for those who live in better areas, say Texas, California or even Lebanon, it would be a nice gain to play with all that horsepower. Either way, thanks for sharing dude, you've helped out a bunch of people for sure.

absolutely agree with you on every single point
however, dont forget the fact that i never got my hands on bms can tool, so i had to drive around with CEL, even though it never bothered me and i only had d t mal twice over 10k miles with catless dp's.
and i live only eurotunnel away from europe where i go quite often and enjoy roads and all the power car delivers
but i wanted to get tune done mainly due cold start issue as i have been told it can be removed but as we found out in the end it cannot be

i will share more news soon

Right , mine with the Wired open valves and Comp pack is loud enough to scare the locals on start up, yours must be mental.

good work mate. your M5 must be absolutely fecking mental now. I can't imagine the extra power/torque at that level with only the rear wheels trying to grip and hold on for dear life.... will 305s at the rear really help that much? maybe a couple of paving slabs in the boot too

would love to see this baby in person... i've done a few runs to London, Sloane sq etc. just to meet up with some peeps who do 'krispy kreme' meets and tunnel hunting. yours would surely be the loudest and most ferocious beast there! do you go to any club meet-ups for a blast? supercars of Essex or gentleman's jolly?

I would love to mod the Porsche but i'm chicken-shit to be honest. worried about the cost of repairs if Porsche refuse any warranty claim due to mods/tunes. im so used to the power now and dare i say it doesn't feel that fast any more.... i'm always wanting more grunt, I don't know what's wrong with me!? never satisfied I reckon.... 0-60 and 0-100 blasts are pretty feckin crazy and entertaining. mid-range from 60+ onwards feels no quicker than my M5. I guess i'm just getting used to the car. track and corners are different gravy of course and handling and feel comes into its own.

if you M5 owners have a London meet id love to come along, even though im no longer a M owner...

Yes it will... I have 305 in rear and am so happy much better traction and grip... let's say 0.1-0.2 improvement in 0-60

i go for gumball meets sometimes, actually went twice
also went once for SupercarDrive meet
never heard about "supercars of Essex" nor "gentleman's jolly", let me know when is the next meet up i will try to make it there

same here, i feel like m5 is not fast anymore even with new tune... you cannot really say if its fast or not, unless you roll racing with 911, 458, scud, aventador, etc

but you need to start with exhaust, it will bring more joy and car will feel much faster there is catless 991 turbo s yellow with qatar plate
sounds amazeballs

I would have gone GT3 route too, but I need to get my 3 kids in the car at weekend they love it.

good luck with finding a GT3. the new GT3RS in a years time will be the one

when you sell your M5 will you take off all mods and strip back to stock?

ok ok... I biting and will investigate some mods on the 911. i'll need some help deciding what to do so I don't destroy the warranty. it's not a lease or company car, so I can do what I want with it, just want to keep the P warranty in tact as much as possible. how do I achieve a 100 extra ponies and do that and notice it?

in order to keep your warranty for as long as possible you wether need to be good friends with SA or technician, which is even better and even avoid handling any maintenance process through SA. Just book everything through your technician and tip him. Thats what i do with my car

tune wise you need to speak to Vic - forum member. He knows all the tunes for 991 and i think he had his 991 TTS tuned. I would go with GIAC tune and some exhaust, this way you can achieve around 650-700BHP.

there are gt3's in germany. UK once are very stock and overpriced compared to german once and you can still find brand sparkling new in germany with delivery miles. GT3 RS is definitely out of my league for now, but who knows, time will tell

mods wise it depends, unless i find another idiot like me in UK, i will definitely need to remove exhaust and dp's. Tune will stay. my m3 was bought by australian guy, who came down to UK for 1 month holiday and he shipped it to australia, so u never know where buyer is coming from. I would obviously love to sell it as 1 piece with no hassle, but you get more money by separating mods and car and makes it easier sell.

good advise re the tech and SA... champers and hampers coming their way!

what do you think about Techart products for the 911 tts? worth it or gimmicky and not trustworthy?

interior/exterior wise some of their products are amazing and i have seen couple cars they built back home, i really like their 911 steering wheel as well and quality is good.

i cannot comment on their ecu tunes, i would go to some more reputable tuner, but if you want to mod it "look-wise" they tts looks very nice

Oh wow, I hadn't heard that yet. Seems to be A LOT of garbage information floating around out there. I've heard these U.S. tuners claim that they can also remove the Cold Start Sequence through the new bench flash methods. So now you are saying that it cannot be done. That's a real shame if it's really true as my Cold Start is worse than yours since I'm running full straightpipes. A few people that have met up with me have heard my Cold Start before. There was one time when I saw a police car looking for me because the Cold Start was so loud. Luckily that cop knew nothing about cars and would've never assumed a family sedan could sound like roaring beast. Lol! In any case though, I am tired of the Cold Starts with an aggressive exhaust system, at least my car is parked in a secluded spot now and nobody is ever around when I start up the beast.

Oh and yes I didn't forget that you didn't have the BMS CAN CEL Delete Tool. It's been a Godsend for me personally. I'm not entirely sure I would still own my car right now without it. It does make a big difference when running catless downpipes. I'm glad that you finally got it removed via the new tune.

i park and start it in residential streets, so i try not to park same place more than twice a week to not piss off neighbours and when i have to urgently go somewhere after midnight i feel like biggest dick in the city i am even thinking to install valve control, but dont want to ruin tips
